thats all high school related. even getting college awards is no guarantee of success (or real talent/upside/growth/etc). you did put evidence in quotes so...
He asked for evidence. Not, evidence in the year prior to the draft (when he wasn't playing). As little as he played he still went 10th! Do you think that is cause only Milwaukee had some secret information? No, they looked at what the kid did coming out and gave him a very very deep workout to see if he was legit.
Let's not confuse things though. I like Hill. I'm only posting the replies to show that "evidence" by definition existed. See, that is how many many Knicks fans knew about him (all those HS accolades). Not cause of what he did overseas (nothing), but cause he was on the cover of magazines because of his play and numerous awards. Maybe he amounts to nothing and doesn't put on weight but we didn'T do our HW (and other teams) that is the point. Walsh even said he didn't know much about the guy. Hey, with so many awards, he should have.
Again, Hill may be the better player. I have no complaints about the pick per say. But I have complaints about not giving Jennings more workouts. I have complaints about him not being scouted more, etc. The Knicks have no shortage of money, there is no excuse to go into the season with only one pg and a combo pg (who I like). This isn't on Walsh, as he trusted his scouts, clearly.
