Because I personally think he deserves time?? Because you think he deserves time? Is that legitimate? Duhon is going to the bench and Nate is getting more minutes. Larry went to the bench when he was shooting 36% from the field and now is getting another shot. It's obvious the coach is looking for someone to step up and no one is doing it. Until someone actually steps up and TAKES FIRM HOLD OF A POSITION they can't complain if someone else plays ahead of them(even if they suck). Until you distinguish yourself the coach is going to play who he thinks on film and in practice makes the team better.

bro, MDA is playing Jeffries to showcase him, not because he's taken firm hold of his position... i got no problem w/that but don't sit there & BS us by saying you're playing the guys who give us the best chance to win games & insult our intelligence... & the fact that some of you actually buy into his BS makes me SMH that much more.

And if he is showcasing him what exactly should he say to the press?

he can say what he wants but i know it's all BS either way as i'm sure u do too... apparently some of these guys actually believe the stuff he shovels & take it as gospel.

TMS: You are missing my point entirely. Nobody on this roster outside of David Lee, Gallo and Wilson have played well enough to guarantee themselves minutes. The coach can therefore play whomever he wants for whatever reason he wants and unless you distinguish yourself you have no argument. 36% shooters are not being dissed if someone equally bad is playing ahead of them. The coach has just decided that at that particular time they don't deserve minutes and that is the end of the story. If you shoot 36% and the coach decides to go with someone shooting 35% because he may feel they bring things that you don't then tough luck. Stop shooting 36% and then maybe you have an argument

TMS: Allow me to break it down like this. Let's say I have decided that I need a wing man to accompany me to the bars to help me pick up women. I choose you and NYK4eva. We go out 100 times each and you get me laid twice and NYK gets me laid once. Now, I decide that I have to pick one of you guys as my long-term wing man. At this point I'm not going to make my selection based on who is better, because you both stink. Instead I may base my decision on who I have more fun with. Or who is more reliable(shows up on time, brings me to the most fun places). Or who causes me the least amount of trouble. Or who is professional and may be a good mentor for Allanfan20 who I ultimately think will be a great wingman. Or who I think has the most potential to improve for next year. I may base my decision on one factor, while another person may base their decision on one of the other factors. Neither is wrong, it's just our own personal decision making process. Now if I finally decide that NYK is my permanent wingman you really have no complaint because you weren't much better. I have no confidence in either of you and will make my own decision. Neither of you has an argument. Neither of you really can complain if I don't pick you because neither of you guys are doing the job I asked of you, which is to help me get laid on a regular basis. I don't have to explain to either of you why I made my decision and probably won't tell the truth to the media because I don't want to hurt someone's feelings. What I'll probably say is something like "I'm just going with the person that gives me the best chance of getting laid tonight"

Now let's say NYK continues to stink at his job and I decide to give you another shot at it. You've been working on your wingman game and have really upped your skill level. We start going to clubs and you are getting me laid every other night. You are outperforming NYK4eva so badly that none of the reasons stated above matter anymore. You're performing, he isn't, end of story. You have distinguished yourself and forced me to use you as my wingman. Before I needed all kinds of reasons to use one of you over the other. Now I have only one reason........Regular fornication!!!

wow. i can't imagine a more difficult role in all of sports than getting bip laid. tms how did you do it?

I believe when others sux for a few games or a week then you try something else to show you're

Hughes aint the answer, but I get tired of hearing other Knicks get credit for being good troopers
like Harrington and Duhon when they do squat and it doesnt seem to bother them when their butts get
kicked in games by teams which isn't the LAKERs, MAGIC, NUGGETS, JAZZ or CELTICs.

Too many players on team doesnt seem affected by butt whippings. I can deal with a loss or losses
Its HOW the Knicsk Lose which is point here, playing someone else one game (like J.Hill) may get
rest of em' mad enough to do something good in next game.

I don't disagree. IT's annoying as heck on those nights when the team quits or puts their heads down and sulks. Problem is almost everyone on this roster does it, so everytime one guy gets a shot he eventually blows it. For about 5 years this has been a very tough team to coach.
