I said obviously the conditions are not comparable, bro...This is about basketball, not material possessions.

The inner frustration he feels by not being able to compete and contribute to the team makes him feel caged. He feels his lack of playing time is unfair and he's not being quiet about it.

Now whether you feel he deserves playing time is debatable, but I can see where he's coming from in a pride standpoint.

But will you agree that it is groundless, and his stating so undermines the authority of his coach, detract from his team's morale, and all for something that he has determined that he is entitled to, and has not earned?

is there anyone here who feels Bender should be seeing playing time ahead of this guy tho? take ur personal feelings out of it & tell me who gives us a better chance of winning games... why isn't Hughes playing? because he's struggling shooting? what the hell is Duhon & Bender doing out there then? Nate went 1-10 the other night, does that mean he's gonna be riding pine & growing out his beard too? what the hell is MDA thinking cuz he confuses the sheit outta me with his rotation patterns, & personally i can understand Hughes' frustration.

You could say he is undermining the authority of his coach but you can't ignore the communication problems that D'Antoni is having with some of his players. There was alot of drama over the Nate situation and his agent got fined. Curry has had similar complaints about the lack of communication from MDA this year. When you consider that the guy is trying to get his next contract and is sitting behind Duhon and Bender I think he has a right to be frustrated. I also think that Hughes has been around long enough to know that if he causes a bit of a stir he might get his wish and get traded to a place where he could get minutes and play for his next contract. It wasn't that long ago that some people were posting on here that he was a guy the Knicks should bring back next year.

I feel you in some respects, but I dont know if I can go all the way with his grumblings being groundless. He was playing decent ball early in the season and its not like he's got Kobe and Durant ahead of him on the depth chart.

I think D'Antoni is doing more harm than good by embarrassing veterans like this...He's making it a habit.

The last time I saw Larry play, he had difficulty bringing the ball up against pressure, had no shot and his defense was spotty, being very generous. When he was a regular, after his injury, hiss shot selection was poor, and his connect rate was worst. Can we not expect a 13 mil guard to be able to distibute the ball effectively, or be able to penetrate and score? And please don't let him off the hook with that tired, not enough play time excuse. You've got to go with the guys who produce.

we have 3 guys on this roster who have been on playoff teams before & know what postseason play is like... Al Harrington, Chris Duhon & Larry Hughes... i think it's fair to say we're not best served in trying to make a playoff run by giving scrubs like Bender run & seeing Fishlips playing 35+ minutes a night... if winning games is the goal, then we need to be playing Hughes over those guys... if trying to make a salary dump trade is the goal, then getting Fishlips as many minutes as possible makes sense, but getting Hughes playing time still serves us good because he's also an expiring that could be used as a possible trade piece... i don't see any possible good for us to have Hughes being a malcontent on the bench & not seeing playing time... the only thing this is going to lead to is yet another useless contract buyout that serves us absolutely no good whatsoever & wastes even more of Dolan's money.

When will he shave it?

Just STFU and sit there and collect your money which is more than you ever deserved whether you play or not.
Consider yourself blessed, and be a f**king professional.
I'm so sick of these self-entitled prima donnas.
If you didn't SUCK you'd be playing.

STILL thinks Duhon SUX way worse than Larry Hughes
its about time Duhon gets banished he is SOFT

MDA is a genius for inserting him back into the lineup. [/sarcasm]
