Is a young raw mess of a player.

And any player you muse "well in four or five years he'll be good!" isn't a player that is going to win you games.

He should be playing though. Consistent minutes. We need to know what we have here. Recently he FINALLY seems willing. So give him the minutes. 20 at least. And shove Jared Jeffries into a Mike James trade already.

I just KNOW we are going to get rid of Jeffries. He is playing out of his mind. It's going to happen. I can just feel it.

And when it happens then Jordan Hill needs to start and play 25 minutes a game. I don't care if he picks up five fouls in five minutes. Leave him on the court.

hard for Jordan Hill to show you much when his teammates won't pass him the ball everytime he flashes off a pick... i musta saw him get looked off at least 6 times last night when he was slashing to the basket with his arms raised in the air.

& i have no idea what you're talking about with him "finally" seeming willing... i've seen him show consistent effort on the floor every game he's played this year, including games where he struggled... if there's 1 thing u can't question about Jordan Hill's game, it's his willingness to give a good effort.

I don't understand either side of "the Jordan Hill effort" argument. Both assertions make no sense. He's a young, developing player and deserves some patience, while his back story doesn't entitle him to more.

has he shown effort consistently on the floor or hasn't he? what's so tough to understand?

Hill is still raw and although he is starting to show some good things, he has to get better in many areas before we can depend on him.

Every time he gets the ball in the paint, he shoots. He needs to learn how to pass the ball and ensure that the team gets the best possible shot on offense.

With that said, there are definitely things to like. He is showing a nice energy level when in the game and is active on the defensive end. Hopefully he continues to get better because we really need him to become an impact player at some point.

Jordan Hill needs to play his way into the starting center spot. Outside of Jeffries, Hill is our best low-post defender and he has solid post moves. I looked at the stats from last nights game and, if my recollection is correct, Hill was the only player will a positve +/- ratio. I did not love the draft pick, but I really believe this kid will turn into a solid player in MDA's system.

you will never see what i see in Jordan Hill unless he gets more consistent playing time... i don't expect anyone to think of him that highly based off what they've seen from him this year, but how anyone can be blind to his potential is beyond me... he's shown some very nice skills in very limited playing stints so far this season... a fluid midrange J, a nice turn around baby hook in the post, a nice up & under move, good effort on both ends of the floor, a willingness to contest every shot & fight for position down low against bigger players... this kid also has a sweet turn around fadeaway J that he can get off in the post too that you haven't yet seen because they never feature him in the offense... & because we don't have a PG that can push the tempo, dribble penetrate & dish, u haven't seen his ability to finish on the fastbreak either... i know u think he's Mikke Moore reincarnated, but i'm telling u this kid is so much more... he will easily be a 14-15 ppg scorer & 7-8 rpg rebounder if given starter's minutes right now, there's no doubt in my mind.

We'll be alright with a guy like Hill next yr. It's not about any specific position if can just add one of the top tier players in the league everything else gets easier for your role players. We complain about our guys but if you consider that we don't have a franchise player to take some of the pressure off it makes sense that they get exposed. How exposed would Miami be sans Wade or the Cavs sans Lebron? Get the stud and the guys we have get a lot better!!!
