Trade Gallanari for Turiaf and Randolph from G.State

Randolph and shotblocking center in Turiaf, Lee and Chandler and you have a team ready for Lebron.

PG Augustine
SG Chandler
SF Lebron
PF Randolph
C Lee

Turiaf 6th man 1st off the bench This team would be the best two-way team NY has had in a long time.

The team will have some options at the trade deadline, and Riley said he "fully anticipates a trade" at the deadline or in the offseason.

I am, admittedly, a Gallo apologist, but from a coaching point of view, the lineup you have up there has only one guy who MAY be a 3pt shooter (not this year, though) in it. Your starting team also has no real player to go to in the post, as both Lee and Randolph seem more effective facing the basket and doing their things offensively.

There is no way that the Knicks make this trade, and I am not even sure how GS would feel about it.

I think the way the team is enhanced is by adding not subtracting.

If we get Lebron James and resign Lee--we can still use our LLE/vet minimum and also trade with Curry and jefferies ending contracts.

For example if our line up next year was--filling in the blanks isn't going to be too rough + we can improve with ending contracts additional FA draft picks. This is a good draft and lets face it--weve done well drafting. Cheapest way to fill out the roster and keep it salary protected is through the draft--maybe we can still trade Nate and Al for picks?? If we can get a playmaking G who can also score as the PG--we will be rough to stop--this is where Mike D can turn the game up a bit and let the guys run out a bit more. We do need a legit 7 footer a 6th man and obviously a lead guard--but if we do get Lebron--Im not worried about it.

C Lee
F James
F Gallinari
G Chandler
G
F Jefferies
F Hill
G Douglas
G
Depth
1 Curry's contract
2
3

i agree w/Paladdin... there's no way Walsh is trading Gallo for anyone short of an already established star just hitting his prime... definitely not for a role player like Turiaf & a kid with good potential but still not yet established & also brings some maturity concerns like Randolph... Gallo next to Lebron would be ideal IMO... having a weapon on the perimeter that can stroke the 3 to help stretch the defense & playing off Lebron's penetration & dish game is a perfect scenario... if shotblocking is what u'r looking for, it makes much more sense to offer Marcus Camby a contract in free agency, or to pursue trade options using Al Harrington, Hughes or Nate Robinson at the trade deadline this year.

are you kidding me?

Trade The Mayor and you regret his All Star status for years to come

You gotta get off that regretting bull****...the Knicks have to assemble a team not hold on to players because they don't want them to become an all-star somewhere else...

I'm with King....it doesn't have to be a center cuz D'antoni is not gonna tolerate a defensive center if they can't move the ball, pass and shoot. Camby and Noah come to mind...Camby is actually a fits the free agent/vet mold King talked about. Camby also knows what it means to play in NYC/MSG.

BTW, Lebron is a natural small fwd...are the Knicks looking to play Lebron at shooting guard? point guard? if the Knicks slide Lee back to power fwd and sign say camby...Gallo is the starting 3....only 2 positions left...I don't like Lebron at the Guard position.

word up caca, Camby should be a definite option this offseason... he would be a perfect fit w/the players we have & fills a huge need... & i agree w/u i don't like Lebron at the G position, he's a natural 3... i'd play Gallo at the 4 w/Lee at the 5 or vice versa if Gallo bulks up in the offseason... unless of course we dump a contract & sign Bosh or Amare to play w/Lebron... i wouldn't mind starting Hill at the 5 either for that matter if we ended up signing & trading Lee for a star PG.

king1 --come on my man--I agree with you on a lot--but Chandler is a star 2 guard in the making at 6-8. If we get Lebron put him in Jefferies slot--remember Jefferies gives us 4 and 4 in 35 minutes--ANY player who shoots +45% and give 20++ 6+ rebounds would make the Knicks go from 17-25 to 30-12. I really love WC--no way no way no way would I trade him. The only fair trade we couldve had for him was pick 5 and Steph Curry as our new PG

That's not how it worked with Z-Bo on the team last year did it?

no, it didn't. that's why you be talkin' wild ****, BRIGGS.

again, let me go back to what i be sayin' 2 months ago: systems. it's the connections not the individual talent. give break to me. z-bo had no connections, he was high spider. now, we got serious web, we got rational web of spider. so now you got good thing. meaning, you need a lead guard. period. point blank, grosse point with cusack. ok? you need lead guard, the Tarantula, the one to spit the web, nah'mean?

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.
We have to trade Wilson if we get Lebron.
