Who will? LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Amare, possibly Dirk.

Who should? Just LeBron and Wade.

I'm not considering it a max. A max is a max-- years and cash money. What this guy is talking about is a half-assed attempt to swindle an honest working man.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

that would be unprecedented. I don't think there's any point discussing max dollars for less than max years. A guy who commands the max is going to command the years. The only way you give a guyt a max deal for fewer years is if you're seriously overpaying... like when we gave Duhon the max MLE but for two years.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The Nets, Knicks, Heat, Timberwolves, Bulls, and Thunder will all have cap space next summer. We arent getting any deals for the top players. at the idea of any of them signing a 2 yr deal.

The top guys this summer are Wade, Lebron, Bosh, Amare, Boozer, Gay, Johnson and Lee. After that the drop off is insane. If you factor in the likelihood of 2 of the big four staying put you can quickly see we aren't going to get any steals. I personally believe Amare and/or Bosh are traded at the deadline if they don't agree to extensions. It is no coincidence that Phoenix starts negotiating with Amare right before the deadline.

You have teams like ATL who cant afford to lose their best player because when they suck they dont sell seats. ATL offered Johnson a 4 year 60 million dollar extension and he turned it down. He also was quoted as saying he thinks he is near elite level status. I dont think they pay him the max but 6 yrs for 90 million is . So in order for him leave we are going to have to beat 15 million per.

Dirk is worth max dollars and I think you have to make the case for Bosh as well to join Wade and Lebron. Because even Kobe struggled to get his team into the playoffs without Gasol and a maturing AB. Lebron is the only guy that can really do it by himself.

I still don't understand what the **** is wrong with some fans. Amare, Bosh, Boozer and just about half the league don't play defense. Lee not only is one of the top scoring centers, he is the best passing center and a double figure rebounder and one of the higher percentage players in the NBA. The guy will never get credit no matter what he does. I have heard garbage about the guy not being a starter. People have to wake up and realize we have an All-Star that is ever improving on a yearly basis. We already cost ourselves 3 million per season by not extending him at 9 million. I think he would have even taken 8.5 from the knicks, regardless of what his agent said

This is why i don't understand why Kobe and LeBron are put in the same sentence. LeBron is doing it all by himself, where kobe has always needed help. And when he does need help he complains about it, demands trades, and talks about going thru 7 years of hell. LeBron's hell is even worst than kobe's hell, but you would never know it, because he is the one player in the world that can take a team without any other stars deep into the playoffs. And he doesn't complain, demand trades or anything, just keeps his mouth shut and dominates.

only up to a point. his team had a dominant regular season last year and was highly favored against orlando. lebron had a great series, but obviously even he can’t do it all by himself.

Lebron plays in the East and Kobe plays in the West. Just getting to the playoffs in West is a monumental task.
