Palladin - absolutely perfect analogy

Meanwhile, Larry Hughes had his license temporarily revoked for expired tags (and shooting under 40 per cent from the field)

If he's revoked for expired tags, Duhon is suspended for multiple DUI offenses.

It does seem like he is playing DUI ball at times.

LOL, that's true.

And did I ever tell you how much I appreciate you keeping an eye on my grammar, my tortured use of the English language?

October?

kam77 - no one was playing well in October. Besides, if you consider a game where a player goes 7-16 from the field a reason the team lost, then I would suggest you have some 'splainin' to do.

Your so-called point is rejected for lack of compelling evidence.

Basketball is a team game. Placing individual blame on one player for a loss totally dismisses how the factors of team play cohere to create a unified whole. Do you blame the turnover on the guy throwing the pass if the intended receiver breaks in the opposite direction? How can you place individual blame in basketball?

Hell, the Magic didn't even blame Shaq for missing all those free throws.

This ain't tennis.

minus 6 plus/minus. 7-16, 3 TOs, 6 fouls, 7 missed three pointers and a missed FT.. in a game we lost by two...

That's a bad game.

Ok... then Nate gets zero credit for the wins he brought.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

at this point, duhon, nate, douglas and hughes are all highly flawed point guards. give them all minutes and go with whoever is most on and matches up best with a particular opponent.

The Big Slowdown

kam77 - I would rather look up how many games Chris Duhon "lost" from his slow-starts to lead ball distribution. Is it a coincidence the Knicks losing 4 of 5 coincides with C Duhon is shooting 6 of 32 in the past six games? If it is, blaming Duhon for those losses is a just game to pass the time on RealGM for the next best trade or draft pick.

In the meantime, just for kicks and giggles, I wonder how Nate would react to having his named called by the Madison Square Garden PA announcer as the starting guard?

Donnie Walsh needs to give Nate a tape of how teams reacted to their names being called in the seventies, before the advent of video tributes and blaring sound effects. There were no dancing huddles and no flying chest bumps. There were not even any high or low fives. There were subtle handshakes, poised waves to fans and focused expressions.

There was a genuine professionalism that didn't depend on hype to move the crowd. Nate, a product of the highlight reel generation, is a prime candidate for the tough task of reprogramming. 17 consecutive games on the pine will make any player rethink his priorities.

Hit the open man.

Don't make Nate look good by comparing him to Duhon. That's not fair. Andre Barrett would be an upgrade.

nate is a terrible point guard. his value is as a bobby jackson/earl boykins type sparkplug to change the pace of a game.

But notice he still drives the Benz as the knicks starting pg.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
