The Big Slowdown
kam77 - I would rather look up how many games Chris Duhon "lost" from his slow-starts to lead ball distribution. Is it a coincidence the Knicks losing 4 of 5 coincides with C Duhon is shooting 6 of 32 in the past six games? If it is, blaming Duhon for those losses is a just game to pass the time on RealGM for the next best trade or draft pick.
In the meantime, just for kicks and giggles, I wonder how Nate would react to having his named called by the Madison Square Garden PA announcer as the starting guard?
Donnie Walsh needs to give Nate a tape of how teams reacted to their names being called in the seventies, before the advent of video tributes and blaring sound effects. There were no dancing huddles and no flying chest bumps. There were not even any high or low fives. There were subtle handshakes, poised waves to fans and focused expressions.
There was a genuine professionalism that didn't depend on hype to move the crowd. Nate, a product of the highlight reel generation, is a prime candidate for the tough task of reprogramming. 17 consecutive games on the pine will make any player rethink his priorities.
Hit the open man.
