Well he's there to coach men not babysit total idiots. It's the players that have a problem communicating. Like Donnie said "all Hughes had to do was walk to up coach and say what's up?". Making a push for 8th, getting playoff experience for the young guys would be just as if not more awesome than throwing them in early. And playing high character guys like Bender, JJ, and Duhon in what is kind of a throwaway year sets a good example for the next three years when the keys are handed to the young core.

Word up on all of that, Mr. nyk4ever. But Larry has no place even on the bench. He needs to go to China with his soul-mate, Stephon Idiot.

Get Darko out of here as well.

He is a locker room cancer with his self entitlement, arrogant and bitter attitude.

Man, I guess Stephon opened the floodgates? Let's buyout everybody who acts out?

I have to believe shares a little fault in these situations.

There are no coaches talking to these players and managing their expectations and keeping them included in on the big picture?

The thing is, MDA was brought in on a 5 year 25 mil contract to COACH. He didn't sign up for the hazmat clean-up of Isiah's cluster f'.

Dolan first, Donnie second, MDA a distant third in responsibility for the Hughes, Stephon, Nate, whatever, situation.

But isn't coaching the part of the business that deals with the players ultimately? Hughes wants to run to Principal Walsh's office while he's skippin' class with the Stache.

I ain't saying has to be the person to do it, but what the hell are the other coaches doing? If I'm a head coach and I'm not good with that stuff, I'd have a guy on the bench with me who is. I guess prefers the veteran character guys, but the front office shouldn't be just buying everyone else out, it wastes money.

so now Larry Hughes is a whining p*ssy, whereas a short while ago he was the quintessential pro who came out of his benching & served as a role model for the young guys on how they should conduct themselves... gotta love this forum, i tell ya.

bottomline, Larry Hughes is 1 of our best defensive players... when u need defense in games, it would seem to make sense to play the man... nothing too complicated about it to me... everyone knows what we got in Larry Hughes when we traded for him & yet some of y'all are reacting now like you're shocked that he's complaining about his role... this is a good basketball player that can help this team... he's better than some of the other guys that have been seeing minutes on a nightly basis... give him minutes & he's happy... put him on the bench & he's not happy... very simple stuff here guys.

Yeah, dude. It gets really annoying how reactionary cats are around here. Got memories like those cats in Men In Black that have to look at the pen...Forget everything when its convenient.

I don't think Hughes was ever a real model teammate. Before the season even started he stated LeBron would never play here because he wouldn't play for a loser. That's a real nice example to set for the rest of your team. I was real ashamed that he made comments in those regards. If he's friends with lebron at all like he says he's probably trash talking the knicks ever chance he gets, luckily he won't be back and i doubt lebron even cares what he thinks because he was a bust playing with lebron anyways.

I think you look at pen too long, maybe laser pen that shine in your eye; now you blind to reality.

It's not reactionary. It's the way it was.

Was Hughes a model professional in the situation that he was in earlier this year? Absolutely!!! Did anyone expect him to fall off the wagon (once you fall off the cart, there is no getting back on)?? No!! Nay! Non!!!

At the time, he was good, very cool guy, very professional. But now, he soil image, like he soil his underpants.

you wanna know what's really funny? Larry shoots worse FG % than JJ and JJ is a more versicle defender.

considering the fact he gets most of his points off garbage tip ins & putbacks, that's not surprising... not sure what relevance that has to a discussion about Hughes' defense & ability to help this team in games where we need that defense tho... but since you bring it up, i think the fact that Fishlips has scored in double digits a total of 6 times all year & averaging 4.5 pts in 27 mpg is funny too.

back to Larry Hughes, he is without a doubt 1 of our best perimeter defenders... when we're struggling to get stops & turnovers it would seem to make sense to play him.
