guard that team. also, awesome defensively.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but would it be so bad if the team next year was:

PG - Felton
SG - Chandler
SF - Gay
PF - Gallo
C - Lee

?

Then in 2011 sign Chris Paul?

is CP available in 2011? I just tried to verify that and came up with 2012.

There's a chance I'm misinformed... I thought that's when he was available

and if he isn't, I wouldn't be opposed to adding pieces now for a future stud PG

I'm not quite sure what walsh was thinking when he did not focus with great urgency on bringing in a more then adequate pg via trade at least.

Mda felt like duhon was over work last season and felt that nate and douglas was good enough to reserve some of duhons minutes..w. ell I think the over estimated this dude big time, and although jj has been a good scrappy defender, and the knicks switch on every play defensively, duhon usually gets matched up withe opposing fwd or center.

The one thing that has been a bit of suprise lately is when that happens they usually swarm the paint and some how someone either pokes the ball out, or force a bad pass resulting in a T O. But when you have athletic fwds like kd, its a nightmare match up.

Not 100% sold on this argument IF there is an assumption that LeBron is coming. Big f'ing IF though. Imagine LeBron starting the offense at the top of the key with the likes of Lee.

Also, lest we forget, center and/or defense presence in the middle is just as big a peice of a winning team as PG, and the Knicks certainly need that too. I am not sure Lee can hold up that position long term over the next few years.

I'm with you on this one. I'd really like to pair our prize free agent with a big strong pf/c with defensive skills.

You know I gonna spin wit it

It still amazes me that we invested 12 mil for Duhon. Is coach K's word so strong that we refuse to see his shortcomings with our own eyes? And what about next year? With no PG being groomed to replace Duhon, are we doomed to pick him up again as the only PG familiar with the system? When will this madness stop?

I hope not, that would be just horrible.

I am absolutely not defending Duhon here, but from another perspective you can say he over estimated Nate just as much. Who knew Nate wouldn't be able to adequately back up one of the lesser starting PG's in the league. I really think Douglas is gravy to Pringles.

MDA is trying to do the best he can with Duhon and the rest of our PG core. We all see it and believe me no one realizes how bad the PG situation is than MDA! How do you think he feels watching these PG's try to run his offense after see Nash run it to perfections for years? I've read that some think MDA loves Duhon... let's get serious here HOW in the world would MDA love Duhon. He merely realizes that he's the best we've got right now and that IS truly sad. DW might've given MDA some help, but at what cost? I think this is the bad we have to accept along with the good of the off season.

Nate could've really taking this team by the reins, but he isn't up to the task. TD is probably just too green to handle the task, not to mention that he's not a real PG. We're stuck!

Duhon is crap. He still does not understand how to get everybody involved. The last game against OKC was pathetic. How can you as a PG not get your best shooter involved until the 2nd quarter. Pathetic.

Jose Calderon would excel here. Duhon is like the Anti-MVP.

Amazing when you look at the stats in the Win loss column. We may bash this sub par player all day, but we go as far as he takes us.

He plays bad lee follows and the domino effect is in full effect. Lee and gallo is duhons meal ticket and we win when they play well( especially duhon) Al, will, and nate don't necessarily need to be set up, and we don't win much when they play well at all.

The worst thing about duhon, when his shot ain't falling, he can't do sht else right in no other aspect of the game, his confidence and focusness are in collasp mode. He just does not look like he can start in this system well consistanly. Mike essentially Change the style of play to suit duhon for the most part, and he just looks run down at times.

There has to be penetration from your pg in a half court set, he doesn't do it nearly enough, and he's just not athletic in any definition of the word. He should be the best 3pt shooter in the league to compensate for his lack of it..Has anyone even seen duhon dunk before

You are right on the money. I made the same exact point in all the Nate Robinson threads. It isn't Robinson or any other player who affects this team like Duhon. Because he is the point guard, not because he is great or terrible.

The Knicks need a stable point guard, first and foremost.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
