Interesting to hear Amaechi will be waived...so I suppose Doleac may not be on the move after all. Still, they did place him on the IR, and he's been relegated to garbage time the last week or so. McDyess/Harrington/Thomas are splitting time at center when Mutumbo is not in there.

Hopefully Norris brings the energy that some of you believe he will. It was interesting hearing Isiah talk about the reasoning behind the move. Chaney said he liked playing the small backcourt (i.e. Ward with Eisley) and he likes guards who can get into the lane. Moochie does have the quickness to do that. And since we've been so great since Frank has been in the lineup and penetrating, maybe Moochie will bring some of the same off the bench. If he plays out there with Ward, Ward is the shooter anyway.

Obviously this also spells the end of Doleac. I wonder if we can get something good for him. I also think Isiah couldn't have been to impressed with Sweetney's last two games, though he had to go on IR if they were gonna open up 2 spots.

It's kind of amusing that just a few months ago there were reports that Layden considered Doleac "untouchable." Supposedly, Portland and Denver had interest.

Sweetney needs to get in shape.

So Rich, if Denver came back with that same proposal for Doleac, would you do it??? Doleac for Rodney White, young 6'8 Sf with talent..

In a heartbeat, but I think they would want significantly more for White.

Yea you are right. They dont joke around. I acutally like it because both the contracts are small money. We can trade them buy them out whatever pretty easily. Atleast Spoon is gone. The second person to be Ding Donged!

I hear ya Rich, True THAT!!!
Oh BTW Folks, I guess Houston pulled that move cause they did released Griffin .

They probably were in the hunt for a rebounder which is what Spoon is. He'll bring that savvy veteranship to the houston club along with experience. A typical JVG player..

Isaiah just said on MSG that Amaechi may be waived.

Ok Amechi gets waived so what happens after the season??? He has a players option on his clause just like Kurt Thomas. Can Amechi excercise that option since he'll be waived??

Moochie is not a fast player. In addition, the guy tends to dribble too much which slows the offense down. Moochie brings his heart, his tendency to hit the last second shot, and his ability to get along with the team.

Are any of the players we got in this trade really going to even play much? I think Zeke will either waive them or try and trade them in some deal. He was just trying to get rid spoon IMO. Amechi and Norris wont contribute that much.

Moochie is more tradable than Spoon. Props to Thomas for actually trading Spoon. Norris-Williams-Vujanic makes for a nice 3 guards attack. All can play at the 2 also.

From a cash flow point, its cheeper to buy out ameechi than spoon, and the Mooch is more servicable than FatSpoon.

And if we can rid ourselves on Eisley in package with KT for very little, then we acomplished somthing.

Yes, I want to keep our picks, and vujanic!

I'm not excited about Moochie or anxious to get rid of KT. The Knicks are finally playing well - I'd hate to see them dump KT just to get rid of Eisley.

GOOD GOOD POST NALOD! Excellent. KEEP VUJANIC BABY. I cannot wait for Milos to come to town. We are all going to love him soo much. I can assure you guys that Milos will be up there with one the best PG's the knicks have ever had.

Moochie is more tradeable and Amaechi is cheaper to buyout. Excellent points. Thomas is smart.

May be Norris's contract is not worse than Spoon's:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/story/150698p-132822c.html

. . .

Norris has approximately $15 million on his contract which runs through the 2007 season. The deal also includes a termination clause after the 2006 season. Amaechi will make $5 million over the next two years but he also has a buyout clause.
