Good post TRU, BUT TELL ME THIS WHY DO WE ALWAYS SAY GUYS HAVE TO BE SHOWCASED WHEN SPOON WAS RIDING THE PINE and still got traded? Oh vandunce knew spoon could play , or at least board for him.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

THis is going to be a tougher game than the last one. Wade adds another dimension to the Heat.

IMO all KVH is doing is upping his trade value. I hope he keeps up the good work!

I don't credit Chaney with the win streak or the positives that made it happen. All Chaney wants to do now is keep his job, which is why he was a puppet for LayDown, and now a puppet for Zeke. In fact, Zeke is putting his people in place right in Chaney's face. Don's days are numbered and he knows it.

Players now have their feet held to the fire. Chaney too. Isaiah Thomas gets the credit for that happening. It's been a long time since people got held accountable the way it's happening now.

Hate to tell Core but Zeke luvs Van Horn. While in college when KVH was a jr, Zeke spoke to Majerus, the Utah coach and told him he wants KVH to come out so he could draft him... Majerus responded "No way, KVH is staying til his senior yr, so you go and pick Camby or Abdul-Rahim."

I read that too, but everyone was high on Van Horn back then. The last four games don't outweigh the last five years in anyone's assessment of him. Every player on this team could be traded, including Van Horn.

Aren't you the guy who says that. Spoon will be a good fit in Houston. JVG needs defense and rebounding on his second unit. Norris and Ameachi were barely playing.

Zeke just said that Amaechi may get waived. Can anyone say cap space?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Yeah the heat do suck but the good news is - so do a lot of teams in the east. And if the knicks can consistently beat up on em - they'll be alright.

Who are these guys I know they've been playing lousy teams - but they've gone from not being able to beat anyone - to just blowing teams off the floor. This is a pretty unbelievable turn around - I mean even when the Knicks were good they rarely blew teams out.

They look like Worldbeaters. And it's amazing how deep they are... Plus they just acquired another scorer. The knicks get production all the way down to their 10th man-- Anderson has like 12 points...

By waving amechi and not Spoon, NY will save in buyout $$ and thus future cap space. Spoons contract even waived would have still counted against them for the duration.

Buyout amount/length of contract = amount against cap per year.

As for Norris he has 3 more years at 3.9 3.9 4.3

http://www.hoopshype.com/salaries/houston.htm

If Isiah could do this in 2 weeks, what the hell was Layden doing all this time? Unreal!

I think Eisley is next or Ward. It may be both as Norris can play the 1 also. I am betting on Eisley being moved somehow.

The way anderson is playing this year, his contract is not as painful. It is still expensive but at least he is contibuting.

If Eislay could be moved with an expiring contract for a 1 year or 2 year contract, NY would be in much better shape!

As bad as Miami is nowadays, it still feels good for the Knicks to stick it to Riley's team.

Yeah, but who in their right mind would take Howierd Eisley for good value?

But then, I said the same thing about Fatspoon about an hour ago...

Go Zeke! It's ya birthday!

my boy once saw Weatherspoon at a strip club in stamford ct

haha funny.. thats my only good Spoon story of his stay in NYK

Ward is way way way better than eisley.. can we all please make that clear? ward hits big playoff shots, he might not be the best.. but he is stil a very very solid BACKUP, no way a starter, but a real real good backup.. eisley sucks in all ways.. seriously.. dude is terrible

get rid of him.. trade him for a pick

Word. I don't know what Chaney saw in him for so long. But timing is everything... maybe he knew something we didn't. Or maybe Howierd was going down on him after practice

Ward's problem is his contract. We move him before end of next week or it becomes guaranteed. So, it would be easier to trade Ward, as you said a solid backup on a good team, for a backup G/F, than it would to move Eisley, whom no one without an LSD habit would take.

Of course, the way he did this Spoon trade, Isiah may rule in Ward's favor and trade Eisley for some team's table scraps anyway, just to make his point. You either play or we ship you out.

Well, even if Isiah has no luck after this, he at least did what I've wanted to see for years. YOU FIRED, HOT DOG NECK!!!
