That being said I am not sure it matters. I firmly believe (just like last year) Walsh will dump guys if it gives him a chance to get more draft picks or lose Curry or JJ's contract.

The teams we are chasing will also have tough and weak scheduled months. So it's about the whole season. Can't get lured into one good or bad month by ourselves or the teams we are chasing. One month we catch up and the next we fall back behind.

Cosmic- love your post, but more realistic scenarios for the knicks:

Record -- Needed wins % win Percentage of remaining games.
33-49 - 26-34, .433
34-48 - 27-33, .450
35-47 - 28-32, .467
36-46 - 29-31, .483
37-47 - 30-30, .500
38-44 - 31-29, .517
39-43 - 32-28, .533

If MDA can get this squad from this point to make the play offs, then he probably deserves coach of the year & someone on the roster should win some kind of similar award (Most improved player, 6th man of year, etc).

I see as more likely this squad matching last years win total as best possible outcome. Hard to see this team play .533 over 60 games, when they have never shown that kind of play for any sustained period of time.

After all the futility that has gone on around here, a stretch of .433 basketball would be worth it.

The only problem with having such a tight rotaion, is that (like last season) guys tend to break down in late march april. Evident from duhon and Al last year

We have ten games left this month. The only two teams that we play that have winning records are Miami and San Antonio - both at home. This is a part of the schedule we need to pick up ground. If we don't, any faint playoff hopes we might still have will vanish completely.

Hey Ira, remember when the month start and everyone put like, 11 losses for us, and like 1 win or something? Boy did we over achieve, huh?

Man, the Knicks are so good now. It's undeniable.

To me, it's not even a question of whether we'll make the playoffs, but how high of a seed we will achieve.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.
