Just looks at Jason Williams. We owned his exclusive negotiating rights for a week and passed.

True, true but this was way more high profile. Knick beat writers and fans will remind his old ass every time A.I lights it up in Philly.

Philly is a playoff talent team and thats where they should be going. Iverson has to deal with brand and Iggy. Iverson on our team would be the alpha player and thats not where our shots and energy should be going toward. I applaud passing over Iverson despite our needs. I don't really see him as a point. He was just the most talented guard and the ball ran thru him. Like marbury, his abilty to penetrate is what made him dangerous. Take away some of that speed to break down the defense and he loses that small edge that made him impossible to guard. At this point, how much better is he than Nate?

He has a better chance of succeeding in Philly than here. It would be great if he was able to make a run with Philly.

Doesnt Philly have the same record as us? How are they a playoff team? I dont think there would have been any problem with being an alpha male. The trade off of injecting the team with heart, guile, and swagger verses having a few less shots to go around would have been well worth it.

yeah, i actually assumed philly had a much better record than us - but they are one game ahead of us in the standings.

why was philly willing to shake up their roster by bringing in a star player? the only affect it would have on next season is that we might have more wins to point to.

unless the secret plan is to get Jordan Hill and Toney Douglas lots of playing time in fourth quarters when we're down 20.

people will reason that this move made perfect sense for Philly while not for us, but the bottomline is that AI can help a team win games, period... it's not like Philly doesn't have young guys who's "development" would be affected by his presence either this year... Jrue Holiday & Mareese Speights won't be affected but Toney Douglas & Jordan Hill will? how does that work? all that BS about developing our players were lies... it's all about AI taking shots away from VETERANS who Donnie is hoping to dump at the trade deadline this year... anything else they try & sell u guys on is just smoke & mirrors.

Philly attendance have soured severely but now since Iverson is back, Ticket sales have increased since his signing..

This was more a marketing move. Now hopefully he retires a philly.

i got no personal problems with u, but u need to be more tolerant of other points of view... u take people's opinions on certain issues to a personal level & it doesn't really need to go there.

I am glad for AI. He was a tremendous player for the Sixers. My guess is the days of the Princeton offense are limited in Philly.
