Exactly. Houston is a better 3rd option than a second option. He isn't a solid overall player. He get paid way too much money.

There is no way the $100/million choir boy plays on Minnesota. They dont want him. Plus, I think they prefer spree anyway so we have to keep him and his contract. If he starts to produce and break down defenses like Kobe, MCGrady, AI, Pierce or Carter we are gold!

I don't think we should waste a lot of time arguing about Spree. He plays for Minnesota now.

I think Houston has improved the last couple of years even as the Knicks have declined. I used to dislike Houston, but I think he plays with more heart and contributes more now. I don't think he's a "Franchise Player" but he's a great shooter and can be in integral part of a good NBA team.

It might be best for him and the Knicks if he could be traded but I don't see that happening.

Isaiah is looking for players that fit a certain mold attitude-wise. IMO Allan does not fit that fold Zeke's looking for. He actually wants players with that Spree-type edge. He wants to make this team into Bad Boys 2004, and I am all for it. The choirboy stuff has gone on for much too long.

It's obvious that the Spree trade was a bad one, like LayDown's other moves. Let's move on and see how Isaiah changes things for the better.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If Houston ever learns to drive to the hole...it's a wrap. The man avg 19 points a game on jumpers ALONE! Throw in 6 FT a game and he's up there as one of the top scorers in the league.

The man is not a bad player...he's a just a puss on the court.

You can't have an entire team play like spree ,it's ok to have assasins on your team with Houston's temperment. Ask Zeke if houston is not needed on his team now as a knick. Yess and it counts~!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I wasn't referring to the whole team playing like Spree, I was referring to the Attitude. Allan doesn't have a "killer" instinct- he's just a good shooter. I have said tirelessly that we need more players like Spree on this team.

"Isiah likes guys with a chip on their shoulder," Toronto GM Glen Grunwald said.

I like those types of players too. Do what you gotta do, Zeke!

Indeed...if he somehow can remember what it felt like to duel with Reggie in that lockout year, then it's a wrap.

Oh, and re-negotiate his contract down to 65 mil...

houston has the killer instinct as far as taking over the game with his jumpshot goes. I think he deserves a lot of that for that if only that.

EXACTLY!! RENEGOTIATE HIS CONTRACT OR TEACH HIM TO DRIVE TO THE HOOP AND BE A LITTLE MORE AGREESIVE! He is too nice a guy and that doesn't work out well.
