Why are the native Americans towards the right of the picture sitting on the ground, while the white folks are sitting on the table ?

Thas some racist **** !

of course it is.

btw happy thanksgiving to you and kobe yours

it's absolutely not racist, what are you talking about? the white people liked to use tables, the native americans liked to chill with the earth. you don't know what you're talking about.

u mean chill IN the earth once they met those generous pilgrims.

not like they went to murder anyone. and without those pilgrims you wouldn't have the freedoms and incredibly high standard of life we all have today.

hahahahahahahahaha. i'd rather be roamin' the prairies and eating mad peyote with the natives thank you very much.

There are 3 chiefs at the end of the table.

Yea but they probably got murdered after the meal. For some, it was Thanksgiving. For others, it was the last supper.

I for one am immensely grateful to my forefathers who swindled these wonderful lands from the indigenous people who once resided here. Of course not all the native Americans needed to be kicked out. Some died from influenza and other infectious diseases my ancestors brought over for which they had no immunities to. Of course I am equally grateful to the massive force of slave labor which was critical to this land's early economic growth. Once we can get past the slippery fact that this country was founded on treachery and slave labor we can focus on that first "Thanksgiving" when the pilgrims had a feast to celebrate that which they were grateful for.

All that being said I am very pro American and love this country very much. I'm not a fan of glossing over its history, because I think believe there are important lessons to be learned from past generations.

I honestly choose to not focus on any of that. I do share my thanks and gratitude to friends and family, but I always do that. Mostly its a nice day off to eat and drink with great fervor.

you're not grateful for the spirit of exploration and discovery that led to the discovery of the entire world? you're not grateful for the guiding principals that laid the foundation for all the freedoms you enjoy today? and what of the science and intellectual progress made possible by the same people you seem to hate so much? people make mistakes, and usually act as best as they know. but undoubtedly the legacy they left behind is much more positive than negative, with respect to the entire globe, not just us.

you focus so much on the negative. why? i don't know.

and america and it's "mythology" go hand-in-hand. you can't have one without the other. so really think about what it is that you love, and what it is that you trash so nonchalantly.

you're not grateful for the spirit of exploration and discovery that led to the discovery of the entire world?
what does that mean? The entire world? Americas were already discovered and had people living there. Are you talking about white Europeans?
you're not grateful for the guiding principals that laid the foundation for all the freedoms you enjoy today?
What principles are those? Because they didnt exist during the times I am reffering to. What existed was the the acceptable removal of indigenous followed by land owners reaping profits from slave labor. I am VERY grateful those founding and guiding principals are NOT in existance today. I do not apologize that they once existed, nor do I pretend they never existed.
people make mistakes, and usually act as best as they know. but undoubtedly the legacy they left behind is much more positive than negative, with respect to the entire globe, not just us.
Again... what are you trying to say? If the legacy you refer to is what is written in my 4th grade daugther's history book its great. Go on an indian "reservation" and tell me you experience and thoughts on that legacy. The whole point is they didnt make mistakes, the accomplished what they set out to do.
you focus so much on the negative. why? i don't know.
where I am being negative? Would that be where I said I loved this country?
and america and it's "mythology" go hand-in-hand.
why? Why cant I love something for what it is? Why do I have to love it for something that didnt actually happen the way it happened?
so really think about what it is that you love, and what it is that you trash so nonchalantly.
what did I trash? The legacy of our fore fathers? Why are you so juvenile and naive to believe in that legacy? How can people learn from mistakes and be better people if they deny anything wrong happened in the first place?

cool. United States should go to South America and settle that land. If anyone is living there we will thank them and round them up to live in designated areas. We should farm and mine the entire land. On our way to South America we should round up as many Mexicans as the boats will hold and use/breed them as slave labor because its going to be a big job. 200 years from now our desendants will be argueing about the spirit of exploration.

Its ok blob.

Looking at the negative is a first way to acknowledge it exists in the first place. Once you have done that you can grow from it and we can become better people. 620,000 men died in combat during the civil war because half this country believed our fore fathers were dead wrong. So wrong that it was worth spilling blood over.

Its ok to think about this stuff. Its ok to be part of something that isnt perfect and want to make it better. Unless you consider that unpatriotic or a nonchalant trashing of our ideals.

what exactly did I demolish that you believed in? What is weird or skewed about or history? We should celebrate what we are, and how far we have come. We should celebrate what we are trying to be and we try to stand for. No? I choose not to celebrate our glamourized history, rather I choose to celebrate how far we have come from it.

Why would you think I hate myself? I am like the greatest guy that ever lived. Next to Islesfan at least.
