I love a good comeback story and am pulling for Mr Curry to get it right.

The Knicks desperately need a 6'11 player in the paint who can create more space for the perimeter players and post up. He should be strong enough to not get pushed around on defense. If that dude could average about 14 points and 9 rebounds I would be very happy.

Now you are talking... and I am with you 100% on this...

I'm thinking that with an increase in conditioning and playing time, those goals are achieveable.

we have never seen *this* Eddy before. He's in shape, working hard and literally fighting to stay in the league. Lets just keep watching where this goes. I like his demeanor on the court. He's looking tough and intense. Lets see how he plays when he gets his legs under him.

no more fat jokes? who said?

- eddy is so fat, he shows up on radar.

- eddy is so fat, he leaves footprints in concrete!

- eddy is so fat when he stepped on the scale it said, "To be continued."

- eddy is so fat, he had his own area code.

- eddy is so fat NASA orbits satellites around him.

- eddy is so big, he plays hopscotch like, "Texas...Alabama...North Carolina...Pennsylvania..."

- I know a man named eddy that is so fat he has to wake up in sections.

- And then there is eddy. he has so many double chins he looks like he is staring at you over a pile of pancakes.

- Seriously though, eddy isn’t fat, he insists he’s just 4 feed too short.

- But eddy takes the cake. Once he jumped into the gulf here in Panama City and the tide came in at Myrtle Beach.

- eddy's so fat, when he broke his leg, gravy poured out!

- eddy is so fat, they use his belt to measure the Earth's equator.

- eddy is so fat, if someone would melt him down, they'd have enough oil to power Detroit for a month!

- eddy is so fat, if he wore a GoodYear hat, he'd look like a blimp.

- eddy is so fat he was baptized in Sea World.

- eddy is so fat he had his baby pictures taken by satellite.

- eddy is so fat, people jog around him for exercise.

- eddy is so fat when he steps on the scale it says, "No live stock please."

- eddy is so fat he needs a VCR for a pager

- eddy's so fat that his belly button makes an echo

- eddy's so fat his cerial bowl comes with a lifeguard

- eddy's so fat, on Halloween he says "Trick or Meatloaf!"

- eddy's so fat, I had to take a train and two busses just to get to his GOOD side.

I though the flagarant foul was uncalled for, but I liked the fire. We really need someone that can lay it down. He worked very hard for position and doesn't have his legs yet. He is a lot to handle down low and it's a shame he wasn't ready to play earlier.

Maybe we can move him maybe not, but he will have a good season and be in shape with his next contract on the line.

Happy with what we have seen thus far

I am with this. The call effected the game but I like the emotion. I hope Eddy gets into better shape and turns that into good play.

I have seem more from him in the little time on the court this year than in all of his previous play. I think he even rotated on D once. And jumped for a rebound. And I am not trying to be sarcastic either.

Misterearl, if you want to measure the progress of Eddy Curry, you might want to begin with his rookie season and work your way towards the present season. You'll quickly realize he's been a bum all of his career.

Measuring his "progress" just because he did something he should have done years ago, and giving him chance after chance is just a symbol of your desperation as a Knicks fan.

come on man, Rondo flopped. Seriously though, if you watch the play, Rondo just happened to get between EC and the ref. Too bad for Rondo, but I'm glad it was him because Curry could be serving a suspension right now for going after that referee if Rondo hadn't been there. I blame the refs for letting that ****e go on for too long.

I love Eddie so far. He's rusty and will be for a while, but that was expected. He doesn't have his legs underneath him and is struggling to make a move after he has been bumped. This has never been a problem for Eddie, as a matter of fact it's usually been a strength of his, so we know eventually this will come back. I like the way he is fighting for position and not giving up. It's a shame that we don't have a guard that can get him the ball. I think that was part of the frustration that he had last game and why he fouled Rondo.

It looks like Eddy never really thought about what he was doing. It looks like he was trying to pump his fist at the ref and Rondo got in the way at the last second. Hopefully, he will not get suspended.

Agree with you there. We still don't have a guard that can get him the ball. I do think that the increased use of the pick and roll play will help Eddy after he gets a few weeks of practice in with that play.

I like his agreesion and the fact that he impacts the game. If he can continue to improve, we might start winning some games consistently.

You too are insane. It looks liek he got frustrated and pushed the closest person to him out of frustration. If it had been a Knick, that Knick would have been pushed as well. This is what it looked like and htis is also what Eddie said after the game.

i think Eddie was protesting your postcount. Dude looks out for his own peeps and was clearly frustrated by your frustration.

All I am saying is it did not look like he was intentionally going after Rondo. It was more like a "I want to throw my fist at the ref, move out of my way" type of thing, rather than "Oh, here's Rondo, let me lay one on him" type of thing. Either way it was stupid, but I do like the fire. With Eddy, it is better that he be too engaged rather than not engaged enough.

On Being In The Best Place In The World

I was hoping that Mr Curry would channel his frustration in retaliation for the thuggeration of Kendrick Perkins. But the expression of emotion is a positive sign. Not the false braggadocio of pounding one's chest after making a play but good-old-fashioned, "if you hit me, somebody WILL be hit back"

Of course, at a critical point of any game a techincal foul is never a good thing. Or is it?

It is about time the Knicks punched back.

Hold up, something else to like about Eddy Nutrisystem Curry aka Eddie Slim Fast...

"I was so nervous in the beginning my hands were shaking," Curry said. "Definitely I was expecting boos when I came out. I was pleasantly surprised. It's the best place to play in the world."

appreciation

Probably about the same thing I was saying. I agree with you I like his fire. It was a ppor timed play and hurt us, but in the long run I'd rather see Eddie show some fire than anything else. This is one of those plays that as a coach you tell the player never to do that again, but behind the scenes you celebrate.

Amen

KnicksNut - "I'm trying to picture Charles Oakley or Anthony Mason apologizing to ANYBODY for a flagrant foul. Shake it off, Eddy; you didn't cost the team the game."

Next time hit 'em harder. Eventually, they will get the message
