Picture Donnie walking through a Sleepy's mattress warehouse trying to decide which mattress was best to sleep on. "Hmmm, this one looks good, much better than what we have at home. I'm 90% sure I'm going to take this one..." After deliberating with himself, "you know, I don't really like down mattresses, can I look at something in a memory foam? You know what, actually I'm going to go home and think about it for a while, but I'll come back again in a week to look at some more."

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think that Dolan probably didn't want Iverson and this is their way of covering for that.

Don't they get to officially get rid of Mobley in December? I think Walsh could care less what people think about him and I like that. You can't be motivated by popularity. You have to do what you think is in the best interests of your team.

Some would say that his flirtation with AI midseason, when they just won their 2nd game is not in the best interest of his team.

Again, he just doesnt want to highlight the fact that he killed us by passing on Jennings so he wont get Iverson to make it seem like he's not panicking. Pure ego.

Donnie sees a big, gaping hole in the raft and says "everything is ok, no need to do anything." Man, what the hell you talking about, fool?!?! We 'bout to die!

It's not a flashy answer, but it was good enough for me. Maybe he is full of shyte, but I don't think so. I never wanted AI. I want Rubio. I want to get rid of bad deals (i.e., Eddie and JJ). I want to preserve as much flexibility as possible. I believe FAs will be stoked about our situation (i.e., $27mil to $45+ mil in cap space this summer depending on trades this season). What's not to like? That means we will have 4 solid young players and more than half of our salary cap to spend. If we deal Eddie this season, that's nearly $40mil this summer to acquire talent. That's two max FAs and then some. Take that with the four guys we got signed and you've got a serious team and definite contender, especially in our weak ass division.

Lastly, I want to be entertained by Knicks games this year. If Curry gets into game shape and kicks arse, I think we may be onto something good, like a mini-win streak. Maybe even playoffs. We'll see.

Don't overlook this part. I think this is why he's not saying he's committed to these players. Showcase and ship out?

i think he's talking about possibly sleeping in a hammock, or moving onto a comfortable futon...possible even a lay-z-boy recliner.

lol.. Oh wait, nyk4ever already said that. Never mind.

i think he's full of shyte, & i'll tell u why... if the main goal was to develop the youth then why did he trade for guys like Harrington & Hughes & sign Duhon last season? he could have easily just accepted any scrub expirings he could have gotten his hands on in exchange for Zach & Jamal & tried to milk some draft picks out of the deal in the process... instead of tanking the season away like that when he had a lottery pick to use in the upcoming draft, he chose to target guys who he thought could contribute to winning games now while clearing cap room... he's talking out of both sides of his mouth on this one... last year he was trying to make moves to remain competitive while not sacrificing the longterm cap flexibility & we were all on board with that... now all of a sudden when he has the chance to improve the team w/a very good player & not sacrifice the longterm cap flexibility, he takes a pass saying he wants to focus on developing the youth... he's contradicting the moves he made last year by passing on signing AI this year if u ask me.

LOL...Duke would panic something serious. Wifey will catch a quick beatdown, that cat will get a dropkick. The Metamusil and boxes of depends will be flying that night in the Walsh household.

Um, WHY? Why cant he take his own time to think it through, discuss it with the coach and then make a decision?? You guys just take a position on something and then evrything else just becomes gravy right? If Walsh had sneezed during the press interview you would claim swine flu has adddled his brain so he didn't take Iverson becuase of that.
