Curry + Chandler for TMac and the first rounder.

T-Mac makes $23 mil this year... u gotta match up another ~$11 million on our end to make it a feasible trade capwise.

Curry, Hughes & Chandler for T-Mac & HOU's 1st rounder might work, but i really like how Hughes has been playing for us this year... if we could milk Dorsey in that deal i'd do it w/o a doubt

Mobely, Darko, JJ and Chandler for McGrady and pick #1 works capwise

Be easy haters, this deal works. But I thought the Knicks were on record as saying they wouldnt deal Mobley's contract?

But like the cats above me said, seems like Donnie aint trying to do nothing that will make the Knicks fanbase even the slightest bit excited. Maybe his doctor warned him about the effects excitement can have on his old ass withering heart...

TMac's deal is basically the holy grail for Donnie. If there's a solution for how to get rid of Eddy, I feel like Houston makes the most sense.

Houston has a smart GM. I don't think he trades T-Mac unless he gets back someone as good or better than whoever he plans on signing next year with that free cap space.
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

whats their cap situation look like? If they have space its one thing, but a young piece like Chandler and a slim Eddy could really speak to them given that they are obviously in win now mode.

Btw..people sleep on how much of a genius Adelman is. He's got a squad held together by bubblegum and toilet tissue and they're ballin...He's been a winner everywhere and if not for Phil Jackson he'd have rings.

I think you'd almost have to take Chandler with Curry/Mobley for TMac if you were Morey. The upside of that deal is great. The downside is... maybe you can't sign a huge FA over the summer? I can't really see who's going there anyway.

I don't want McGrady for McGrady, I want him for his $25 million expiring bux. And only if Curry is in the deal.

I would keep Curry for now. If he is playing well, he can be traded on his own later. Fishlips is the one that has no trade value. You package him with Chandler and Mobley and Darko for McGrady. You can then try and trade Curry later in the year.

in T-Mac u have a big concern that he'll remain durable over the course of the season... w/AI u pretty much know he's gonna play & give u max effort every minute he's out on the floor... plus there's the huge disparity in dollar figures ($23 million invested in T-Mac opposed to veteran's minimum in AI)... there's no way this franchise can reason going after T-Mac but passing up on AI... in fact, if going after T-Mac were in the plans, it makes even more sense to sign AI to a contract & try to make the playoffs this season... this is how i pretty much know there's no chance the Knicks will make any trades for T-Mac.

TMac doesn't cost you any more than AI, he actually costs less since you'd have to trade dollar for dollar.

Only way he costs anything in real dollars is if we traded the Mobley deal for him.

not if he's on the IR & not playing he doesn't... if u have $23 mil invested in 1 player & he's not able to play it's a huge hit on your franchise any way u wanna slice it... don't get me wrong i'd trade for him in a heartbeat if we could dump Curry or Fishlips' contract in the process, but i know Donnie Walsh won't do it... he'll spit the usual shpiel about us looking into it & considering it, but in the end nothing will get done.

seriously, these trade proposals would only be accepted by a moron. the knicks have no pawns from a talent perspective. Maybe some financial pawns, but that's it. No one on the knicks is a commodity from a talent perspective which is why Lebron will not come here...

Lee & Curry would add some pretty nice frontcourt depth for a team looking to contend... T-Mac is giving them nothing & both parties seem resigned to part ways... i don't think it's that moronic to be honest... unrealistic yes, cuz i know Walsh will never get something like this done, but there are some benefits for both parties to make a trade... don't think we'd get their 1st rounder tho, & hoping they'd take Fishlips off our hands is probably a reach, i admit... i think Lee, Curry, Nate & Landry for T-Mac & Dorsey is pretty fair value wise.

Houston would insist on Curry because they need him to fill in for Yao. I would only give them Curry though if they gave us their first rounder. Otherwise, forget it.
