if they sign iverso, it's the first crack in the facade. signing iverson is an admission of giving up on the plan. THE plan. this will set us back 3 more years, just byt he time ai's residue is washed off. great going guys.

because wade would dominate iverson. wade is a superstar on a level iverson even wasn't on in his prime.

on our team, there is a void. iverson would dominate that void, he would poison it.

A void is nothingness, right? How can nothingness be poisoned?

a void in this case is a lack of something, there is a gap, it's a hole. so while a hole is nothingness, there is still stuff around the hole. i guess to be more specific he would poison the hole boundaries, from there the poison spreads on the whole.

You do realize that it's Donnie Walsh's decision and not ours, right?

i'm pretty sure that donnie checked YOUR poll. put it this way, that poll goes 80/20 the other way, we're not in this situation.

That's true. Donnie does closely follow my advice. But it is still his decision.

What the heck are you blabbering about? If the plan was to get under the cap for the summer of '10, then the plan is still a go. This does nothing to deviate from that plan. Iverson will get a one year deal. How does a one year deal affect us 3 yrs down the road?

it's about the residue. psychologically it will set us back to the marbury days. it's also an admission that the young core hasn't developed as planned. so that's a big set back.

do you realize that marbury version 2 is coming to us??

you think mda is going to be able to bench iverson this year? iverson is officially a starter for the rest of the year. the first game he's not, he'll probably pack his bags and throw a tantrum. this is horrible. what kind of message will that send? it's all a mess. a cluster F, as they say.

I voted no, but not cuz this would somehow mess up our 2010 plans or that it would somehow kill off the Kids chance to grow. I think it's only real danger is if the Knicks continued to lose, Ai played poorly and the whole AI deal came to an ugly end. Other than that which is a possibility, but not a definite scenario, there are a lot of possible good outcomes too. The best of which ends up with this team going on a tear and getting into the playoff hunt. That would make a big difference for our future trade options. When you win, you deal from a position of strength and that's always a good thing.

It looks like Duhon may never get out of his funk and if that's the alternative then why not give AI a shot. I was pushing for Giving the job to TD and Nate, but neither of those guys is better suited than AI. I actually think combined they'd give us much of the production AI does, but it's the end of game situations where AI stands head and shoulders above anyone we have.

This is a much different situation than in Memphis where het have a young pg they want to groom. Who would MDA bench Iverson in favor of? Duhon? The same Duhon that Walsh has all but admitted he has no use for when he publically coveted Steph Curry, Rubio and Sessions? If Iverson puts on the blue and orange next week, believe he already got a promise from MDa that he will be the starter. If Iverson signs elsewhere, he didn't get the promise.

Dont see the residue Iverson might leave behind being any worse than the residue being created right now in terms of yet another losing culture. How about the residue of going through the motions. How about Al Harrrington jacking up shots from the tunnel? Now thats bad residue. How about the bad losing habits that Lee and Nate have picked up since they got into the league?

Iverson on the other hand at least can sit in the locker room and speak of a time when he helped will a team to the finals. Iverson, by example will show the team how to compete, night in night out.

How old are you? 18? Iverson was every bit a superstar as Wade is now. Even better Iverson was and is and ICON!!!

You can express your opinion whether or not you like a dude but don't disrespect the man like that. Iverson regardless of what people are trying to do to him, is a first ballot hall of famer and I repeat....a cultural ICON!!! Respect due!!!

LIFETIME! he's averaged over 30 ppg 5 different times in his HOF career!... not on D Wade's level ever during his career? are u kidding me? this man is probably 1 of the most prolific scorers of alltime regardless of height... even at his age he'd be the best player on this team the second he signs a contract, belee dat.
