Regardless of how well Curry pays, gotta go with John Wallace on this one

Curry's potential at this point < Whatever proven commodity we sign with his cap space.

Pipe dream scenario: Curry plays well enough that a DESPERATE team takes him AND ared effries in the same deal. I know..I smoked my breakfast this morning

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

When Iverson was injured, while in Detroit, the team started winning more. Also, he'll take shots from Douglas. I don't like the move.

Curry looked amazing physically. He looked like the player people around here were willing to trade first rounders for

Ai can still score and he will pass more than harrington..

curry doesn't pass and he still turns the ball over..

this is the last thing we need... guys like Hill, gallo and douglas will never develop properly..

And we all wonder why ariza is playing somewhere else, doing well.

I am not liking where this is headed....

Do you think the Knicks would be winning more if he was on our roster and suffered an injury ? You're seeing that right now, and its 2-9.

I would package Curry with Chandler and try to get an expiring contract, maybe a PG prospect, and a 1st round pick. I would then let all our FAs go except for Hughes and Nate. We go get Lebron and Bosh, and our starting lineup is TD, Hughes, Lebron, Bosh, and Gallo. That is a fairly potent offensive/defensive team. The only thing we would be missing is a big center to block shots and clog the middle.

I like that idea...

Thats why you trade Curry when you can. He will probably go back to getting 3 offensive fouls a game that are ridiculous and he will probably never be a great passer and his defense will not be that great in particular either. However a ton of teams like the site of a big man with his "potential" and "scoring ability" and size. So if hes putting up some numbers they will go after him, especially bc his contract is short.(unless they are aiming for this summer, which not all teams are doing.)

I would really see if we can sucker a team into giving us their lotto pick for Curry. If Walsh did that, then in my mind, he has had a hell of a successful tenure here.

I think everyone get excited about the smallest little things because we have been bad for so long. But Curry is in the best shape of his life and during his breakout season here if he was used in a 20 minute role it was enough to draw some fouls and score effectively in the low post. He is one of the best in the league at those two things when his mind is right.

I think we have to revisit a trade with washington to try to free up some time.

Hughes (25)-Nate (20)
Iverson (35)-Douglas (20)
Chandler (25)
Gallo (25)-Harrington (25) also at SF
Lee (30)-Curry (20)

I am happy with that unit. What needs to be done is sitting Jefferies and Duhon. No one is taking either and they don't do enough to help the team win.

If there is any truth to the rumor that Miami is 'hot after Iverson' (it did come from Franky ice), signing AI might be considered a real long shot. In other news, even though GSW are playing it down, it has been reported that Monta Eliis's agent is in the Bay area and will be meeting with GSW management by weeks end. GS does have some needs we could fill, so it could be possible that we faint left going after AI and announce a deal with the Warriors on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised at all at this point if Walsh didn't make a play for Ellis and Morrow.

I had the strange feeling that Chandler was being showcased last night and I would expect Chandler and Duhon to be part of any deal for Ellis which could also include Randolph or Claxton and JJ skinny.

According to newsday, it looks like Ivy is coming:

Yeah, but Detriot did not replace AI with Duhon.

I believe it. This is about the only team in the league where he will be guaranteed to start. Plus, if he can turn this season around, he will probably earn himself a 2-3 year contract for $3-$4 million this summer from either the Knicks or another team.

I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to having Allen Iverson on my team.. is that how bad this season has gotten? One thing that is absolutely unquestioned is AI's heart though, so it'll be great to see some passion back with the team, whether it's good bad or indifferent.

Gallo/Hill/Lee/Chandler should all really benefit from having AI drive and kick too.

I have no problem with AI the player. So long as the team wins I see no problems. My only concern is another circus if we don't win. That said he'd instantly improve the swagger of the team and he's coming at a perfect time with the team feeling good and a winnable game coming up.

Curry being there inside also makes it more likely to succeed. How can teams guard us with ease with those two out there along with shooters like Gallo and Al H.? We can put some good lineups on the floor.

Yes, AI and Curry could get his team to the 33 wins it is destined for.

Really, what I'm hoping for here is that they both play some fantastic basketball and net the team picks

This is kind of like the end of the night when the girl who you know has been around the block comes up and propositions you. You have some trepidation, but hey... we're really drunk and the more we lose the better she looks.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

AI & Curry will work well in the P&R... perfect way to pump up Curry's trade value while being more competitive at the same time.

I felt this team would eventually play a bit better anyway, so clearly the addition of AI and Curry should boost the teams outlook for the rest of the year. Being 2-9 isn't too big of a hole to dig out of mainly cuz it's so early. If they can continue to work Curry into the offense and Get AI going, why can't they turn things around?

I watched the game again and from what I saw the Knicks actually played good D, but when they played such horrible offense for much of the 2nd qtr, it made them lose their energy on D. The good thing is they picked up their defensive intensity and it got even better when they started to make a few shots. The truth is this is a group of offensive minded players and when they don't make shots they slump defensively. What AI can do is keep the team from going into too long an offensive slump and that will mean the difference in wins and losses for this team.
