i would not sign Gay to a max contract, no way... Bosh, yes... then i'd sign David Lee to 4 yrs/$32 mil & wait til 2011 to go after Melo.

if we traded Lee to get rid of Fishlips then i'd target Bosh & Joe Johnson before i considered Rudy Gay.

Agree. I would much rather have Bosh and Johnson rather than Gay. I just think Harrington could play just as well as Gay for 1/3 the money. Plus, with Gay here, where is Gallo going to play. A team of TD/Huges, Johnson, Gallo, Bosh, and Darko is a fairly solid squad.

Trust the Process

People seem to think LeBron is the only option out there. He is definitely plan A and we should do all we can to get him but if he decides to stay in Cleveland or go elsewhere, Bosh + Gay would be a pretty damn good backup plan.

Building a championship team overnight is not the only way to get there. If you are smart, you can also get there by adding pieces year in and year out. It doesn't all have to happen in one off-season.

I kind of thought IF Lebron was not coming here--that Mike D would prefer Bosh and Gay to go with Gallinari in a diverse frontline that would feature 3 potential 20 scorers who are all young--who can play up+ down and 1 who is turning into an elite 25-10+ player. If we cant geta brand name player--this is absolutely not a bad way to spedn the money--these are two Olympic team caliber basketball players. You will have cap sapce in 2011 for the PG and you just try to piece it together brick by brick--210 wont solve all woes. Concetrate on the frontline in 2010 and backline in 2011 and be smart with the depth of the bench where we used to over pay.

if we sign 2 max players in 2010 we won't have the cap space to target someone like Melo or Tony Parker in 2011

If we sign Melo and/or Parker in 2011, we won't have the cap space to target someone else in 2012.

the point is that i'd rather sign Bosh & a mid level FA in 2010 & either Melo or Parker in 2011 than use up a max contract on someone like Rudy Gay

I don't know if I would want Gay. He seems like to much of a floater. I would rather just add Bosh and then take Chris Paul from NO the next season that would give us a starting lineup of Hill-Bosh-Gallo-Chandler-Paul which isn't all that bad maybe we resign Lee or maybe we trade him.

Washington is really struggling right now I think we could make a nice deal with them or event a good deal with Portland before the year is over with.

The whole Memphis roster is a bit strange. Why can't they put it together and win some games?

If we started next year with OJ, Conley and Gay, we'd be projecting 50 wins right? How do they manage to flail around like a bunch of scrubs?

I would almost do Gay for Prince if I were them. Try to get someone who's more defense oriented in the mix and maybe they take off.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

conley is garbage but still the coach goes to him down the stretch instead of ai. rudy gay is selfish and doesn't seem interested in meshing with mayo.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I am very convinced we should go this route with how MDA plays. Bosh can play the 5 and Rudy/Gallo[ can play 3-4 hybrids with Chandler at 2 and Branden Jennings at 1:(

I was just wacthing Gay the other night and thought about him as an option this summer, if Lebron decides to stay-put. Gay and Bosh wouldn't be a bad coupe this summer. Gay, Bosh, Gallo, Chandler and Hill and or a resigned Lee wouldn't be a bad upfront. Remember, if we still have Curry next year, he becomes valuable as an expiring that we could move.
