and he's fat.

He doesn't even LOOK like a pg.

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

I'm telling you, this guy is hitting the bottle early and hard. If the guy playing in that pre-season video (talking smack, hitting three's) ever showed up, we'd have some chance. DW needs to get point guard help ( trade, D-league) and sit Duhon's ass DOWN!

i'm really starting to hate the guy. wouldn't be surprised if this was alcohol related. last night was the worst i've seen him play, he just looked like he didn't want to be out there, or that he couldn't, i don't know. last year i was all for him and after the preseason this is the last problem i imagined. but the guy needs to go. if we're going to go 1-20, i'd rather lose all those games with TD or Hughes or anyone else at pg.

Thank god I didn't watch much of the game.

But, while Duhon sucks, we're getting blown out because the other team is just scoring so much.

I mean, we regularly give up 40+ in the first quarter. The offense has limited impact on this- sure we give up additional shots to the opposition and the long rebounds that turn into breaks.

But teams are shooting the lights out against us.

Playing Lee at the 5 DOES NOT help our defense- Bogut owned him- and for as good as a rebounder as Lee is, we're being outbounded by 9 a game.

And to see where we're headed with a final team record, just look at the historical averages of where teams end up when being outrebounded by that margin - its not pretty. I did last year, and we weren't this bad and a 30 win season seemed likely.

A -9 margin probably puts us in 20+ wins.

And with the first pick in the 2010 draft, Utah selects...

Maybe Duhon hasn't recovered from whatever was bothering him the last few months of last season. Maybe he won't recover. Maybe that's why we were looking at point guards on a one year contract during the off season. Maybe, maybe, maybe.... Who knows what's bothering Duhon. The point is, he's helping Utah get a better pick.

I told people a long time ago that Duhon sucks. Yet people still feel Nate Robinson is the problem. Duhon is a joke. He likes making excuses and running to the media when he sucks. Last year when Nate was going through his shooting slump a reporter asked Duhon why he didn't have a big assist night and Duhon's reponse was something like, "I can't make Nate and Al hit their shots." Last night he had 1 point and 3 turnovers.

All that being said, Mike D needs some blame also. It's only November and he has already lost his team. If his system is not working why not try new plays?

TMS wrote:EDITED: we should just bite the bullet & start Hughes & have Duhon come off the bench as his backup... either that or make a play for Iverson... i'd much rather watch him play for a year than watch this team run around like the Washington Generals playing against the Harlem Globetrotters every night.

That might not be a bad Idea. We need better production out of the guard position. Larry Hughes can do anything that Duhon could do. Iverson would be a huge upgrade over Duhon.

Because the System is worth more than this garbage collective. When the junk is off loaded and we have a proven leader on the court, the System will be there, the System will win, the System will prevail. It makes sense to implement it right now so that the able players are separated from the group. Then these able players will have a few years of the System under their belts. So adjusting for the players doesn't seem to have any practical value.

There is definitely something wrong with him. How many times have we seen him pull the ball back out when he has an open lane to the basket? That's one of the strangest things I've seen in many years of NBA watching. What would make a player do that? Last night he had a play where he was a step away from the basket and nobody in front of him and he pulled it out to the right instead of going in for a layup.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Someone mentioned this, but the more i think about it the more realistic it seems...he's drunk. I remember seeing a documentary on isiah rider, or maybe it was someone else, but it mentioned how the player came to the game drunk, and he went 0-6 or whatever, not making any field goals. how many games has duhon gone like 1-8 so far? he is so far off on his shot that he HAS to be drunk. as i write this, i am now sure of it. the guy can shoot when he's sober...40% 3s last season, nothing to laugh at. he's drunk drunk drunk on game day.

I defended Duhon last year but I will never stand up for people who look like they don't give a **** when they are out there. And Don'tHoff looks like he doesn't care. Bench is retarded ass, trade him, dump him don't really care at this point.

MDA benched him yesterday. Hopefully, he realizes that Hughes is our best option at PG right now. I would start Hughes and give TD about 16 minutes a game and go with that rotation. It is time to "Marbury" Duhon and sit his but on the bench.

Not only should this thread be stickied, we should send some official UK letter to the Knicks informing them that the fans have spoken and MDA needs to sit Duhon's a** down. If we are going watch the team lose 60 games this year, we would rather watch TD and Hill lose those games while developing.

I can live with the poor shooting, but the laziness and poor decisions are killing us. He jacks up more 3 pointers at inopportune times with a hand in his face then any PG I can ever remember. Even in a YMCA league. It's almost as if he has never played the position before. He's running the offense like a first grader and not hustling and although he is not to blame for our record, the PG sets the tone.
I just hope that people will like me
