I hate how most of the players on our team are such an awful waste of space

One would think that he'd be ready and pumped up to go no matter where he would play, so that he can eventually get a nice contract extension. The Knicks have been more the generous to him too, so I would think that this would just be a rumor. Whoever started that "He's dogging it" rumor sounds like he or she is trying to start some trouble. Curry even said himself that he would help the Knicks even if that means him getting traded.

And losing weight in any way shape or form is NOT dogging it. It's obvious he's done at least some work this Summer but just had awhile to go.

100% agree, and gues who started it.

* - Berman mentioned that Donnie Walsh said Eddy Curry will be evaluated on Sunday and expects to have him back on the court practicing by Tuesday. It's been a month since Curry's fitness exile began and I've heard varying reports about his progress. One story is that he's under 310 pounds and worked hard. Another is he knows the team wants to trade him and is hardly motivated to assist them in clearing his salary from the 2010 books so they can potentially offer two max contracts next summer. We'll find out which one is more accurate on Tuesday.

Just found this on newsday. Doesn't surprise me at all that Berman is trying to start trouble. He is probably sitting in a dark room hunched over his keyboard thinking of ways to get back at the knicks for what happened with marbury.

I don't think we see Curry on the court this year. I don't think he will get himself ready and I don't think he cares enough to take care of himself. He has another year before he has to worry about employment and I am not sure if he would be motivated in that situation.

There has been some speculation that Curry is now under 310 pounds but another rumor is that Curry knows the Knicks will try to trade him and is not eager to assist the team in that effort.

After recurring injuries to Curry during training camp, Walsh, perhaps under the direction of James Dolan, ordered Curry to workout and condition himself away from team practices.

I know it is just a rumour, but it sounds like that piece of **** Eddy to dog it so he doesn't get traded. That is probably why he keeps getting injured. Anyway I hope this is just a rumor and we can get him on the court next week so we can showcase his fat ass.

Could not agree with you more,
Agreed 150%

Can you imagine ? if you were big as Eddy Curry and had his skills to make a lifetime job in NBA ?
What a waste Curry is.

I felt sorry for him last yr(off court)
don't feel bad for him this season. He is prime example of take the money$ and run

Dude, at this point, what idiot GM is going to get suckered by Eddy "turning it around" at this point.
If he gets a MLE he should be ecstatic. I'd say if anything it will be closer to the league minimum.

7+ footers with solid low post scoring ability don't exactly grow on trees. And Curry (fat and lazy though he may be) has demonstrated solid low post scoring skills. He needs to play so other teams can see what he offers. But a lot of teams are built on the inside/out game, for which you need a guy with size and ability down low. Eddy has that covered.

Inside out game?--When did Curry ever pass out of the post?

Eddy if I recall has never publicly stated that he loves basketball. His first love was tumbling while in Chicago, the kid out grew it and started playing basketall . He was bigger than everyone so he enjoyed the limelight. He went pro and found out these guys love the game and worked hard to get to where there are.

I recall ASST COACH Mark Aguirre shocked and somewhat suprised that curry when traded to NY from chicago didn't know basic big man moves and how to play the game this long in his career.

Then the diet pills he had to use to loose weight (rumor) showed he really like eating instead of working hard to get in shape. He liked james dolan lackadasical attitude as a owner and Isiah inept attitudes of professionalism so he fit right in. He doesn't want to leave NY why would he ?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Eddy Curry is smarter than you guys think. He carefully observed Jerome James methods and learned from the master.

Therefore, I expect a breakout season for Eddy Curry -- next season.

Via Hahn:

Donnie Walsh before the game said he is expecting Eddy Curry back on the court "pretty soon now."

It seems most likely that Curry will be reincorporated during a four-day break between games following the Nov. 13 game against the Warriors. Walsh raved about what he saw when he evaluated Curry on Thursday. "When you see him, he's totally different," Walsh said.

How much weight has he lost? "A lot," he said.

It may sound as if Walsh is merely trying to promote nothing but positives about a player he'll likely try to trade to clear cap space, but a few other people I spoke with who have seen Curry say Walsh isn't embellishing.

We'll see.

WTF was he doing when he was supposed to be training over the summer. I wish I could see Curry so I could hit him in the face. We gave up two freakin lottery picks for this loser and he cannot even keep himself in shape. Just pisses me off.

All is well that ends well and if Curry coems back and is able to give us 5, 10 minutes a night, then that is nothing but a very welcome bonus.
