Martin, a lot of guys were big scorers in college. This guy has yet to show any shooting touch from any distance. He's just not going to be an impact player. If he gets his shot down he'll be a Fisher type.

dude has been in the league for all of 5 minutes and you have concluded something? That he can't shoot and won't be an impact player?

Douglas is taking some not-so-good shots and taking some wide open shots and is missing everything. He has played 27 minutes in the NBA, do you think that type of evidence is gonna convince me over a whole year's worth of pretty darn good shooting/scoring at Florida?

Maybe he won't be able to make an adjustment, maybe he won't be a hardworking player. Fine. But to conclude anything else is folly, no?

He hustles, is fast, plays tenacious D. He hasn't played full time PG in a long time. He is adjusting to the speed and height of the NBA. He was drafted 29th.

The only thing I can take so far is he is a rookie and is struggling. Mostly, you know, the norm.

We've seen him play what, 15 games between the Summer League, Preseason and regular season now?

Its not like I'm just making wild projections. He hasn't gotten off any shots yet like the ones in his FSU highlights.

What difference does it make? Is he ever going to be better than a Derick Fisher type? How does that help us? He's going to be a reserve defensive guard. Yay. Nice background player. Yawn.

We need quite a bit more than that.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He's been proving people like you wrong his whole career. It's what he does. Your name Lebo? ;)

Judging a bit early aren't you Martin?

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

You can see him play too Martin. Have you seen him use any NBA skill to beat his man yet? Speed? Handle? Size? Passing?

Flynn already brought his team back for a win in the 4th quarter.

I watched Evans play the other night, he's a monster on the floor, you can see his potential.

Just give these guys the eyeball test. Do you believe Douglas is going to become some starting, difference making guard out of nowhere?

Its not like they picked the kid expecting him to be a project.

Meaning what? That's an interesting take Martin. 11:35 played, 4 points, no assists from your PG of the future... Awesome.

He got in people's faces of defense, that's great. I saw him deflect a couple of balls, but he had 0 steals.

It seems like you could just insert player-X and you would project them to be an up and coming star for the Knicks.

He caused two turnovers ...brought the ball up well and worked the half court just fine. He brought defensive energy to the game and for the most part denied his man the ball...something he does well if you watch closely.
