i could see that coming months ago... alot of u guys were sleeping hard on this draft... i ain't no draft expert but i watched my share of college ball last year & some of these kids are way more talented than people gave them credit for... Chase Budinger is a prime example of a sleeper that will make people eat their words this season.

I totally agree about Buddinger. I think he was the perfect fit for a D'Antoni team and I think like Lee his pro game will be better than his college game.

Personally after watching us get fcked up by 30 points against a very mediocre team--I will criticize our draft pick from 2014 before we even draft him-

I have to speak on this after 10 years--why cant we get a Ty lawson--why cant we be surprised by a good player once in awhile-- why cant we trade chandler for that pick 5 and get Curry? We did need a PG and I dont think TD is a future player like either of those guys or even close.
Who is responsible for picking Jordan Hill because they should be fired. A 6-10 235 junior PF picked 7th on a 30 win team should NOT be*raw* for a team that needed a PG. I just think this organization is continually run like sht and the losses back me up.

Look at the talent that Golden State trots out there every night. I'd take Mullin in here as the GM in a second. Just don't let him make trades, but we won't be making trades that take on salary for years anyway.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

i agree, i thought he'd make a perfect fit for MDA's system too & said as much in the weeks leading up to the draft... kid hustles, shoots the lights out, plays well above the rim & has a good understanding of the game & where he should be on the floor... also gives an effort on defense even tho he's not an instinctual defensive player... i woulda loved to see him on this team & we could have easily picked him up w/a purchased pick... woulda made much more sense to have a kid like that getting minutes over someone like Larry Hughes or *puke* Jared Fishlips.

I was saying months before the draft that it was a good draft and that people were just overreacting. Nothing new for me here.

It's going to take a while to see if we did blow this draft, but I'm strongly leaning on that we did. I would just rather take a freshman project (Derozan or Jennings) than a Junior project. I like Hill's athleticism but I'm a bit worried about his BBIQ. And as you and others have said, why didn't we nab a guard with that first pick? I do like what Douglas brings on D and his hard work, but I don't know if he will be the great distributor that we need. He is sure fast and can penetrate, so maybe he can be a drive and kick type of pg, which is good, especially if he can start hitting that midrange shot more.

There is something about this organization and how terrible it's run. I still say this pain is to spiritually evolve NYers as there is clearly too much dependance on sports for our happiness, go inside grasshopper.

IMO the bigger problem is the fact we let a scrub like Jared Jefferies get playing time over the kid we just drafted 8th overall in a blowout loss... there's just absolutely no excuse for that whatsoever, i don't care if Jordan Hill's ready to play or not... the only way he's gonna learn is by playing meaningful minutes during games... i don't think we can knock the pick until we see what he can do over a good enough sample of games to fairly judge either way, but we can definitely criticize the way the team is run when you see this type of stuff happening in blowout losses... it's just mindboggling to me.

just to be fair, seems a bit premature to start claiming the strength of this past year's draft.

not to say players picked will not become all that good, but it takes a few years to really see how things pan out.

Agreed regarding Jeffries but I think the coach doesn't want to lose players faith so early in the year. Would love to see Hill getting some spot minutes. Hell, if we are losing games by 15-20 points, then he needs to come in.

Yes, you look at last years draft and the year before and there are still some really high potential guys that we are waiting to see bust out.

I love you Briggs but you seem at times to be a front runner and that's why I tend to be hard on you. Right before the draft you lamented the fact that the Knicks would not have a high enough draft pick to get a polished big man like Jordan Hill. I can dig that quote up again if you choose to deny. Now that we find he isn't polished, you are now calling for firings?

I just hope that people will like me

So in a couple of more years, when Wilson is on another team, then we'll be able to analyze his draft?

You don't look back at your draft when your player is up for his next contract. You look at it when you're supposed to be getting value out of your young player.

i'm jus sayin...

as rookies we've seen guys like joe smith and damon stoudamire win rookie of the year and be hyped as "next big thing"

channing frye looked like a potential star...

meanwhile, nowitzki, jermaine o'neal, garnett, even devin harris (as one example) have taken years to grow...

joe johnson was a moderately decent rookie drafted fairly high for the celtics, but then traded, and took a few years to blow up...
