it would be pretty funny if curry went to gsw, about the only other team in the nba where he has 0 shot at seeing any time.

They've been getting garbage offers where they have to take on salary so this deal would appeal to them for the fact that they would save money. That team is headed for a big-time crash so thy may as well start the rebuild earlier. SJAX for 4 years or Curry for 2?

for them it's better curry for 2, cleveland gets sjax for 4 and they win championships, lebron stays, we get rid of curry. but west is insane and z is useless.

We could alway throw in another $3 million and a second round pick. We would save more than $3 million in luxury tax savings. Thus, it would a difference of paying Curry 18 million or Jax $28 million. That is a significant difference. The only flaw is this trade is Curry is a tub of lard that has no trade value right now. If I am GS, I would rather pay Jax the money and have a player I can actually use.

Exactly. It's still a VERY small difference relative to their game impact even with the cash considerations. I'm sure a title contender would give up an expiring contract for Jackson. Has there ever been a comparable trade to the one you're proposing--a salary savings over 4 years of only $7 mil (OK, plus cash considerations) for such a gigantic difference in talent and impact?
