Don't get me wrong, I am a big Nate fan. I agree with this last quote. However his outbursts have not yet served a positive purpose or led to wins. They take on their own life and eventually make Nate take himself, and the team, out of the game. I can't recall seeing them actually stir the team on to a tough win. And I'm not referring to his everyday fire and competitiveness, and chatty demeanor. I believe that's good. It's just the over the edge episodes that take him and the Knicks out of games.
It's his achilles heel. We all know that if he could ever get more zen and unflappable, he would be a close-to-unique talent with the ability to dominate long stretches of a game, AND play good team ball.
