Agreed. When The Game Was Ours should be about just that, the game. Shouldn't have this soap opera crap in it. Instead everyone looks worse with all this he said she said.

I kind of agree with that too. All this bad mouthing of Thomas over this 'he said' stuff is stupid. Talk about the games and the Bird-Magic rivalry, not off-the-court gossip.

A few things

--- I dont get all this freeze out talk from the '85 all star game. Jordan had 9 shots in 22 minutes, what was he expecting as a rookie? To hear him tell it, he had 2 shots in 35 minutes or something. Thats what Jordan has been crying about all these years?

--- Magic conspiring with Jordan and co. to leave Zeke off the Dream Team was crazy bogus. Definitely sold Zeke out, there.

--- Does Magic not remember that redneck Karl Malone being very vocal about his hesitation in playing with Magic after his HIV admission?

--- I think Isiah did spread rumors about Magic. There was probably a shytload of innuendo floating around about Magic at the time, and brothas love to gossip.

--- I think Magic has been swayed over the years by the anti-Isiah contingent to the point where he doesnt like him at all. I guess he felt the need to try to capitalize on the hatred many have for Zeke rather than just picking up the phone.

Fact is.. if Magic hated Isiah and then recommended him as GM to the Knicks, any Magic business should be run out of town.

It's just a ploy by Magic to sell books. It's easy to pick on Zeke these days, kinda sad that Magic is throwing a friendship away like that, but to some people money is money I guess.

As track records go both were champions on the court and Magic has been off it.

I think Magic in looking back looks at bird with more respect to their rivalry and what he accomplished. Isiah has been a train wreck after his playing days given many opportinities and not fulfilling his potential.

Magic has done far more than just build movie theatres in his post career.

Isiah has left a trail of people upset with him and his record speaks for itself.

Im sure Isiah will have plenty to say in his book one day.

Maybe someone doctored the book like the tapes of Isiah were doctored in his trial for sexual harrassment. Magic should try that angle if he cares. It worked with Rev. Al and Vivian Stringer.

Isiah has no friends. This is sad. Isiah thought he was his friend but he had to find out in a book he was not his friend.

Isiah used to have some pulp in his juice card but its dry now.

He has blazed a trail of deception thru the years. The only thing of substance was his on court perfomrance and he tried to parlay that into success. He fails in so many ways and still gets paid for it.

Isiah is a sad sad man.

Well, its obvious that there is a lot of dogma surrounding Zeke around here so its a given which side you cats are going to take, but this is the deal to me:

Zeke strongly supported Magic in a very public fashion after his HIV announcement at a time when many NBA players turned their backs on him. Thats fact. But I guess we are supposed to believe that Zeke backbiting him from the shadows overrides that. Question, tho, were Jordan and co. as vocal in their support of Magic as Isiah was?

Magic is a politician, and Zeke is as much of a lightening rod as anybody is in professional sports. This book just reeks of politics to me. Just tryin to sell books and further his standing with the NBA mainstream.

This sounds like some soap opra sht....Most of you are going to have a bias opinion about thomas anyway. Im not really sure who's telling the truth, I just know one guy is trying sell a book...
