I personally hated that Ewing got so much blame. The guy was a great player - he just wasn't Jordan. He was good enough that with another Superstar he could have won - he just never got that.

I also would defend KG, Kidd etc. These guys are great players - but only one team wins a year. A great player takes you a long way but it's a team game and no one player should get all the credit or all the blame.

Houston takes some grief on this board - but he won't get as much as Ewing. As other posters have said it's basically because he is NOT as GOOD.

Houston is a good not great player. I don't think we disagree there. He deserves some blame - I don't think we disagree there.

What I sometimes disagree with is the "grass is always greener on the other side" mentality. There are very few GREAT players. I think a lot of the names thrown about in comparison to the players we have are no better and often times worse. It's easy to see the warts on the players you see all the time.

Went to the game tonight,And Allan was the only reason we where even in it

Dice sucked big time tonight

Go Allan
Do u think we should blame him along with the rest of our team for our record or you think he deserves no blame whatesoever and he is at the same time worth the max contract he has?

How are raptors doing these days popularity wise in toronto? Are they getting sold out all the time?

Their doing ok about 17,000 a game some sellouts like last night

This a hockey city though

The Leafs are in 1rst place so Raps are buried

I do agree, both ewing and Houston would be champions had there not been key injuries and lack of support at times...

tkf: I didnt draft that TOp SG list. I got it from Yahoo's Fantasy NBA list. I acknowledged the discrepancies and later modified them. Also, ziocat posted some stats on how 1-demsional Houston is.

Out of 31 SGs that has averaged 30 plus minutes this season, Houston ranks:
30th in Rebounds per 48 minutes. (2.7)
30th in Assists per 48 minutes. (2.9)
31st in Assists to TO ratio. (0.91)
29th in Steals per 48 minutes. (1.01)
30th in Blocks per 48 minutes. (0.11)

Thats not a joke!

I also stopped arguing about Houston's skills because my point is something totally different but the guy who questioned the top sg's list also calimed that Houston is better than Ray Allen and Finely!

No one can honestly argue that H2O is better than either of them. It would be a joke if they tried to.

finley never had to carry a team, he always had help, so did ray allen, Houston scoring numbers are comparable if not better, and look at the head to head matchups, I know for sure, Houston had career games VS the bucks when ray allen was there....

Finley always had help? Dallas was really terrible team until Dirk's second year. For example, second leading scorer on Mavs in 1998 season was Shawn Bradley at 11 points average, that isn't much of help. And Houston has carried a team? which team? to where? I'm guessing being a leading scorer on a lottery team doesn't qualify as carrying a team, so I have no idea what you are referring to.

If I was going to rank the SG:
1) bryant 2) mcgrady 3) pierce 4) iverson 5) allen
6) redd 7) stackhouse 8) hamilton 9) ginobili 10) finley
11) sprewell 12) barry 13) mobley 14) j.richardson 15) christie
16) wells 17) q.richardson 18) miller 19) jones 20) kittles
