What negatively impacts 2010?? Mike Miller has an expiring contract. Plus he's good -- the guy really is one of the best long-range shooters in the game. In addition, he's smart & can really handle the ball well for a big 2. Automatically becomes the best perimeter threat we'd have in a Knicks uniform since H2O. He's a player I've really admired for a long time. This guy could definitely help us win some games this year. Like Al, he's 29 and can still play at a high level, though maybe not the consistent 20 ppg scoring threat night in/night out Harrington still is which is why I'd want the extra couple of assets to balance out the deal without demanding anything over the top. With either Dominic McGuire or Paul Davis we'd get a young player we could evaulate for the rest of the year (both have 1-yr. deals so no impact on next year's cap at all -- McGuire's got nice size, athleticism and defensive potential for a 3 and Davis, while not really swift afoot, is a young 6'11" guy who can bang & scrap a little inside and has a very good perimeter touch for a big man out to about 18-20'). And with that 2010 2nd round pick that probably goes anywhere from 31-40, I think we could get a decent player there that may slip - I've talked about several guys I'd like to get with our own 2nd rounder not too long ago. I think this is good realistic value in return for Harrington.
