I think he lost all that (supposed) weight from depression / mental issues and not eating as much as when he was fat and happy. I definitely don't think he lost any weight working out. I feel bad for him personally and all, but he is just not that into basketball. You can see it in his face. He is not hungry...well, for basketball anyway...

its sad that he dropped his trainer over sept. why? did he run out of money or think he was home free?

dude should have trainer and chef 24/7- he needs it and he makes enough money that it should be a wise investment.

I think him contributing this season depends on what we are doing during the year record wise.

I'm not quite sure what is going through his head. As someone said today, maybe bippity10, consider the fact that it's been MORE than a year and a half now since Curry knew MDA was coming and he would need to be in shape. That's a long time. And he keeps getting these chances, and will keep getting them, until his contract runs out.

Another thing is, he already had a heart problem, and then he get badly out of shape, will his heart be able to handle that atrophy and now the rigirous training that will be necessary to get back to playing shape? I'm no doctor, but it seems reasonable to question that.

I know the Knicks run and push the pace but D'Antoni is not known for hard or long practices. I think the expectation, being able to play in a scrimmage, is the same in any training camp.

I think this is wrong. Each coach treats his teams differently. Some go out all the time, some are looser, some play it by ear. I think MDA is the last.

Look at what Pop is doing with Duncan over in Spurs land - reducing his minutes in games, reducing his minutes in Preseason, reducing his minutes in practice. Does it mean Pop is not known for hard or long practices or does it mean he knows is team is full of vets in for a long season.

Same with MDA in PHO.

That could be the case but I still think the expectation is that a guy can participate in a scrimmage without getting injured because he is in such poor physical condition.

Some people who post are hilarious. Curry got injured while he was playing. He went through the 1st of the 2 a days with no problems then during the evening session...he injured something in his calf while he was on the court. It's not like he had a bacterial infection like last year. Don't forget that last year he came into camp weighing much, much more than he did this year. Curry was 317 when he came this year which isn't a bad weight for him. He'll be fine!! We have until February to trade him so right now I'm not worried. What you need to talk about is how good Jeffries looks and how we'll be able to easily move his contract with ease..opening up almost 7 milli more for next summer. We already have over 20 milli to spend lol. I personally think they'll trade Jeffries to Washington for Mike James. The salaries are about identical and it just makes sense for both teams. Washington will probably be a playoff team this year if Arenas stays healthy and Jeffries would make them that much deeper. Obviously it's good for us because James $$ comes off the books after this year.

Haywood is another possible trade candidate with Jeffries because I really think Washington is going to want McGhee to come out this year and show what he can do. With Haywood out the way...the red carpet is laid for McGhee.

You guys all forget that Eddy has also a heart condition... So if he will work out too hard he can drop dead.
I do not think any of his trainers and Knicks office want anything to do with this.
So lets be easy on the guy.
I know we lost a lot of stuff over him; but this is not his fault that idiots like Isiah and Dolan junior were running the frick show.
Let him slide...

His heart condition has nothing to do with him being overweight and I still think he is about 20 lbs overweight. Just stop eatting. It is not like he is an everyday guy that works 40-50 hours a week and has only time for fast food. This guy can hire a personal dietician to cook all his meals. Just figure out how many calories your body burns a day and make sure you eat about 700-800 fewer calories below that level a day.
