I don't understand the negativity. Were we watching the same game? I thought the knicks played damn good overall.

I came into this game wanting more than simply watching the Knicks play. I wanted to see improvement. I didn't see much. Shooting .419% from the field won't win you games in the regular season. I hope D'Antoni really coaches our guys on their mistakes. And Caseload I do agree with you. Chandler is coasting. He is good but he can be so much better. Doesn't look like he worked on his game much this summer (could be injury related).

Watching the game now (thanks Cosmic). Only guy I see hustling is TD.

Also note the awesome team chemistry and compare it to the last 6 or 7 years.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

gallinari has a nice shot. wilson chandler is by far, the most talented knick - he just makes everything look so easy, as the NBA stars do, but looks so laissez faire about it. would like to see him kick it up a notch.

JJ knocking down the three from the pocket - form looks great.

the thing about his demeanor is that it makes it look easy but also makes you think he can take it up a notch. No. it looks easy because that's his demeanor, he's just a quiet person. And it looks like he isn't trying hard for the same reason.

I whole heartedly disagree. Wilson can dunk. Wilson can rebound. Wilson can drive. Wilson can hit treys. Wilson can do midrange. Wilson can steal. Wilson can assist. Wilson can block. Wilson can defend. He can do these things, and do them well.

When I do not see him doing them, I know he is not working at his top level, because i've seen him do them before, but I want to see them being done by him all game long.

Wilson does not have any specific moves, Wilson to my knowledge has no post game. Wilson does not vocally lead. Wilson needs to do these things. He CAN take it up a notch.

Other players have things that limit them. Wilson does not.

I dunno...there's talent there...takes time to build anything. Unless you had something to start with.

Dunno when they trim rosters but the last 2-3 minutes was ugly.
the '7 second or less' couldn't make it over the half court line in 8 seconds.
After the last week?

Toney had a second steal there...and several poke aways. 4 offensive boards that resulted in at least 5 points that I recall. His form looks fine to me though he looks tight a bit. It will come.

Harrington, Jeffries, Chandler and Gallo had nice games. Nate looked good in his stints as point. Darko with a hook looked promising...I like his presence and his energy. Duhon his steady self. Hill ran well and had a bright spot or two. He shows progress since Summer League.
Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

seriously, no second chance shot attempts for the knicks.

Darko has much room to improve, but limited. Curry, phentermine is your friend.

douglas plays like a veteran. this guy is BETTER than duhon in my opinion already. he reminds me of charlie ward's playmaking and child's toughness in one player. Nothing flashy, but pitbull determination.

I hear what you're saying, but Im bristling at all these Charlie Ward/Chris Childs comparisons. We loved them because they were knicks during the glory days, but those cats were average on their best nights.

Douglas is average too, just shows how crappy the knicks have been. I hope Douglas gets to be as "average" as Charlie Ward and Chris Childs. Those guys were the PGs of pretty solid teams, they were not the stars, but they held their own and were solid. I'd take Charlie Ward/Chris Childs over Marbury anyday.

You guys are funny...
This team has nothing to show yet.
The expectation you have are baseless.
Knicks are at the very beginning of building the team and it will take 2-3 years from now to build respectable product if we will be lucky.
Just enjoy the ride and stop crying...
