as for these alleged before and after curry photos...

can we just mention, we don't even know if those curry photos are what they say they are.

they are "reportedly" what they are...

can someone point us to a source?

i'm not even saying they aren't legit, but maybe we should be a bit more hesitant to believe these as the first and last photos taken (if that's what they even are).

however, he weighs so much and is so tall that losing 40 lbs is not going to look the same as it would on someone who weighs say 240 and trims down to 200 and is 5'9".

if we did want to use this pictures it's hard to tell given you can see he cut his beard and cornrows...yet, if you look at his neckline that might be the best area to see any difference.

yet, again, none of us know if these are real.

how about we just wait and see what he looks like in real life, and then compare that to what he looked like at the end of last season.

Outside of a shave and hair cut I don't really see to much difference.

you can tell that his colon has been cleansed
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I think Curry just eats a lot so that he has more surface area for new tattoos.

The Eddy Curry photo on the right was compressed in Photoshop

don't believe the hype until the ball racks are rolled on the court

Marv - considering the mileage, Bells looked good. His wife was attentive and friendly.

We should all be so fortunate

Hold up, I hear the faint sound of dozens of basketballs hitting a wood floor. Be still my heart.

A. Book it. The Mayor goes for 19 and 11. You heard it here first.

What does the "11" mean, boards?

Who's the last small forward to grab 11 boards a game, or the last 2Guard to dish 11 assists a game...

2008-09 stats for G/F types

how do you know this? why not share the evidence?

i'm just playing devil's advocate. if they're accurate, then they are.

otherwise, no offense, but one person's word on a fan internet forum, where the player in question is widely hated, shouldn't convince anyone who cares at all about objectivity and good journalism/reporting.

Whoever posted the picture found it as a most recent photo on Facebook added. I don't have the Facebook page.

A side by side picture of Curry wasn't put together to show you he lost 2 lbs. Clearly it was done to show significant weight loss. And the sad part is you can only tell it in his face.

Curry at today's media event.

You could play Devil's Advocate for something/someone else, not Curry. What's so hard to believe that Curry looks this way when he's listed at 317? What's so hard to believe that Curry is still fat? It's not hard to believe at all and we'll find out soon enough how accurate the picture on the right is (and I'd say it's going to be pretty accurate).
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

look - eddy never was and never will be a basketball player. plus he's an individual living an extremely troubled life. he is NOT an nba asset. i think those who continue in denial - cough *fishmike* cough - will find that out soon enough.

look, i have my beefs with eddy and his game, but he has never done anything, imho to get the kind of mean backlash he gets other than having a questionable work ethic for basketball.

i never understood why that causes so much disdain. it's been a bit frustrating, but he never went to the level of things we saw from other players who have been here.

this is very much why the constant making fun of him bothers me a bit...he's a person still.

will he ever meet expectations? probably not, and he has several flaws, but he isn't a total slouch.

no matter how you put it, the man was one of the most dominant post scorers in the league two seasons ago averaging 19 and 7 shooting at 58% FG. the recent post by hahn about him is spot on. he may be overweight, but let's be real, so is shaq, and big baby davis... the thing is even when curry was around the same weight he was now 2 years ago, he could be very quick. he's not a lumbering big man.

look, i don't even think we plan to keep him, but it would be nice to see what he can give while he's here. i'm not counting on most fans being very patient though.

great post. I couldnt agree more with everything you wrote.

Im rooting for him...he's still a knick and he's gone though things that would have destroyed lesser man. He is wildly undisciplined at times, but we're all human and we can all change for the better.

I, too, am so puzzled by the hate. What good does it do?

I don't think its hate....it joking on the guy as far as his physical condition. Its pathetic. Everyone has problems. A lot of his is self inflicting.

Hes also a celebrity. Pro athlete. He chose this. The jokes come with the fansy cars and gambling problem.

His job is to work out and stay in shape....every human beings dream. Nothing else. Yes hes pathetic. That's not hate. Its the truth.

EnySpree - Eddy Curry had a gambling problem?

"The off-the-court stuff, people don't really understand how much that affects you," Curry said. "I really didn't understand how much it affected me until I started to get past that and really did some soul- searching. Things now are starting to get back to normal. My life is still a work in progress, but it's nothing like it was.

"I'm happy right now."

arkrud - thank you. that was original.

C'mon, it is a new year and the absolute best some people have is yet another derisive Eddy Curry reference?

When is enough enough?

Or does it really make you feel better to pile on another persons personal loss and misfortune because he happens to make more money than you, or tried to eat his way through depression, or because his appearance does not meet your standards, or he does not appear to care as much as you want him to appear that he cares?

It is a new season.

Let it go?

Or be like arkrud, and keep up the original work.

Let me fix that bullcrap compressed Curry before/after pic of deception:

Even then it still isn't correct. His head is 5 pixels wider with the true image on the left versus the corrected image on the right.
