I'm not sure what the argument is. I said he is an average offensive player. Meaning he has no post skills, no go to move and a poor outside shot. He does well off pick and rolls and garbage buckets and does it efficiently. That's good for him. I'm not hating on him for that. But that is the definition of an average offensive player. Throwing some stats around doesn't change that. Just like Zach Randolph's 20/10 doesn't make him a superstar. If you watch the games, you'll know Lee is no amazing offensive talent that can't be stopped. He does what he can out there. That's all I'm saying and that's really how it is. I can't play it any other way. I call it like I see it.

Cosmic also summed up my feeling on Lee in general. Some here think I have an agenda on Lee or that I blindly hate on him but that's false. He has some good traits but the negatives outweigh the positives. Efficient player. Rebounds and scores when he has an opportunity under the basket but not a go-to player, not even a 2nd tier player. Overrated by Knicks fans as usual and over-inflated stats make it harder to argue against this.

he doesn’t post and call for the ball, but he has plenty of moves that allow him to score. you think you get 16 ppg on 55% against 7-footers without being able to juke and go underneath them and without having pivot moves and footwork? and his outside shot is not consistent enough but it's not poor. he hit plenty of them this season.

He's another Knick who doesn't really have a position on defense.

He's so efficient on offense, that he's still a positive overall. He really needs to be put in position where he's not the last line of defense. Unfortunately, he's usually not playing on the front line with anyone else who can defend.

We will never find out what a defender Lee is before he will leave the Knicks or Knicks coach will change.
Lee is doing what coach is asking him to do - minimize fouls and keep enough energy for offense plus defend positionally as much as big man can.
The latest is not the strong side of Lee game but he can hopefully improve it. This will be determine if he will gte big pay check with Knicks or somebody else.
If he cannot became better defender he will get NBA avarage money... Not a biggy here for him and for Knicks anyways.

I have seen Lee create his own shot plenty of times. No, he's not Tim Duncan LITE, but he still has some moves that are reliable that will catch defenders off guard. And it's silly to say that he doesn't have a shot b/c he was hitting mid range shots all year.

Now he has to work on his defense. He has to try. Even if it hurts his rebounding.

Lee is 7th in the league in FG% and 3rd in rebounding. He is not average, he is one of the most effecient players in the league. No post moves? Just because he's not a back to the basket scorer doesnt mean he doesnt have post moves. You dont score 55% and 16 a game with no post moves.

Nobody is saying Lee is a star, but he is most certainly a 2nd tier player. If 16/11/55% isnt 2nd tier what is?

People here dont want to pay him top tier money. They want a shot at a star.

You need guys that fill out the stat sheet and when you do that at 55% your doing a pretty good job.

Lee has ALWAYS been a super effecient player. How have these stats been inflated?

and yeah, lee does have some post game, it's not amazing, and doesn't really use turn around jumpers or anything, but he was using some moves in the low blocks last year to generate his shot.
