I don't think I'd compare Gallo to anyone at this point. He has all the tools and swagger to be as good as any european that has entered the NBA. Yet we have to get past the health questions first and foremost. Then it's wondering whether the skills we see are skills that are peaking (which happens despite age for many players) or if we're looking at the raw skills of a soon to be super star.

That is something we simply don't know.

Alright, I know this is kidding but.....(eh), I didn't have time to reply... what I do in terms of vidcaps has no bearing on what I say or what anyone should have to say in return.

As to being pessimistic, I don't see it as being pessimistic or optimistic, just realistic. I saw what Gallo can do and I think he has a VERY high ceiling, almost infinite for now - but - until we even get there I want to see him PLAY for 30+ games pain free, stiff back free, no excuse free, no "well he had a bad back he's only resting it because it's only natural after all of that for him to be sore today!" BULLLLLLLLLCRZPPPPPPPPP before I even get on board with the "Alan Hahn said he's iron man so he's going to be Dirk!" garbage.

Gallo's back may always be an issue to some degree, but I don't think we need to wait some arbitrary time period in order to be allowed to be excited by what he does this year. If he's able to move pain free that's a GREAT sign. Does it mean he'll never have back pain again, no, but right now he's ready to go and until that changes we should enjoy watching him play and develop.

Gallo's back always being an issue is an problem. Don't try to sugar-coat it.
Either it is, or it isn't. If it isn't, he has potential to be a very good player.
If it is, that's hard luck no matter how you slice it.

Why do you care how you look dude? We all look stupid from time to time no matter how you look at things. I'll admit right now I've looked like a f'ing moron on a number of occasions but I think it has helped me out in the long run. Not saying I am proud of it but don't worry what people think. For good or bad I hang my a** out all the time. Why hold back? I believe Gallo will be a big part of our success and I'm pulling for him to have a great career. It could be that cuz he's young that he'll stand a better chance to heal. There are no guarantees that any player won't suffer a career ending injury. There's no reason to hold off on being excited about their prospects.

When was the last time we had a player who could shoot 40+% from 3, was 6-10, could handle the ball, pass well, hit shots from anywhere and wasn't afraid to take the big shot? Optimism is justified!

Prove it on the court. That's all. Go out and play a full, relatively healthy non-back injury reason and I will believe you are well on your way Gallo. Until then, it's all just talk. And as we all know, the Knicks have been all talk and no walk for years.

We just have to keep those darned Kardashian women away from Gallo! Those girls are trouble. Next thing you know Gallo will be making sex tapes with subtitles and he'll never reach his full potential. From there it's just a hop skip down to really bad porn films. "The Rooster does Dallas" or The Itallion Stallion in "The Kockfather".
