How would any of you react to any of the following?
easy...
Yankees GM Brian Cashman, you had a rough offseason, how do you think the fans should view it? "I think," he said, "that I will feel like I didn't screw it up for next year."
no salary cap, never would be said. Salary caps change everything.
Mets GM Omar Minaya, you had a rough offseason, how do you think the fans should view it?
"I think," he said, "that I will feel like I didn't screw it up for next year."
see yankees.
Giants GM Jerry Reese, you had a rough offseason, how do you think the fans should view it? "I think," he said, "that I will feel like I didn't screw it up for next year."
they just won. Truly depends on the situation.

This situation is completely different.

We have a chance to sign TWO max free agents next year. Or 3 Solid All star mids. Or a combination of the two.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Walsh needs to sign & trade Lee & Nate for an expiring(s) & picks.

That sounds great to me, but it'll have to wait for the season. We are going to sign our guys for a year and kick the can down the road.

The only move I will continue to endorse is checking into Rubio, even if it means giving up an asset for his rights. Maybe we can work out a deal to get him sooner rather than later. But he's young enough to take a flier on while we build up the team. But now that we would have to wait two years, I would not be willing to give the Mayor or Hill. So there's not much left to offer.

If Walsh could sign and trade either Lee or Nate he would have. I think he is re-signing them to keep those options open. Walsh is not an empty seat. He has done alot to get the Knicks to a point where they can be participants in free agency for the first time in a very long time. I think it is important to remember Isiah Thomas and how he would have spent his offseason. My guess is that A.I. would have been signed to the max mid level for the max amount of time and the Knicks pick and expiring contracts would have been traded for Elton Brand.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
