I honestly don't get Donnie.

All the lovers still believe that he's smart for just biding his time?

Still a genius is he?

Donnie's plan is to get cap flexibility and go after the biggest fish in the Market in 2010 on route to the best team to field a playoff contender.

What was his other course of action? Tie up Lee, Nate, Sessions and trade for whom?

Martin--show me the difference in cap flexibility if we signed Sessions to a 4 year 16mm contract--show me how the math makes sense for us--we wouldve had a max contract spot open whether we signed him or not. In fact we may lose the opportunity to use the MLE next year because we didnt sign Sessions.

If we are under the cap (which we would be even with Sessions) we can't use the MLE anyway.

Kahn is trying to sign every PG in the NBA.. my question is why trade foye? And what does this do for flynn? I guess the rubio fiasco really has ruffled this guys feathers... the wolves are a bad team, adding sessions does not make them any better of a team had they kept miller and foye? wow... with flynn aboard, you think they would look to fill other spots?

I wouldnt assume David Lee will ever sign back with the Knicks after this year and it's very possible with 16 teams under the cap that he will get superior offers. 4mm $ is not enough money to let a player like Sessions to go *hoping* that you're best case scenario even comes close. And if we look at it the other way--the way where Lebron doesnt come here and we lose guys like Lee Harrington darko[if he plays well] on day 1 of fA with all of that money out there--you are left holding a big bag of sht. Acquiring Sessions was a smart hedge

you're left holding cap room for 2011 and you have a very good shot at getting the top pick in the 2011 draft. it wouldn't be fun, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

sessions is not demonstrably better than duhon or nate - he might grow into a better player, but it's certainly not enough of a difference to risk a chance at Lebron James or even a plan B guy like Amare.

sessions is not flawless, man. he's got no jumper. sure, d'antoni liked him but d'antoni also begged the suns to throw $20 M at Marcus Banks after he was in a very similar situation to Sessions.

4 yr 16mm--we couldnt afford that--someone show me why not? We dropped the ball--absolute F blunder. Fck buying tickets. If they dont want to win Im not buying tickets--they wont have tow worry about 90 tickets going for 20 bucks because they will have boatloads of them. A lot of fans are going to be prised off. It's one thing if he signed for 5 years 35mm but that was not even close to being the case.

Stop whining.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

One of plan b 2010 tier 2 pg's. Douglas is impressive for a rookie. Take two plan b's next year and have Douglas in his second year and make a run at a top pg or rubio (something about him is awesome) with assets.

Sessions had good games against the knicks but what pg didn't?
Duhon started out pretty dang well. He could have gotten hurt and is one those players that doesn't say he's hurt and it just looked liked he gassed.

I'd rather give session money to Nate.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Marcus Williams, Rafer Alston, Steve Blake? Who knows. If the Knicks net a top FA I don't think its going to be difficult to convince some vet to sign....if not this year then 2011.

Also, who is going to offer Lee or Harrington 10M+ on the first day of FA when the top tier FAs are unsigned?

None of that is happening until next year. There were dramatic changes made with the Knicks roster since opening day last year. My guess is that things will continue to change if they fit Walsh's plan. Duhon was signed to run the point until next year. At this point nothing is definite with Nate but I don't see him running the point in 2010.

Don't you have to factor in all of the empty roster spots? Pretty sure the NBA counts the min salary for each of the empty roster spots toward the overall cap number.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
ESPN: Sessions and T'wolves agree to offer sheet
