I think to be effective you have to be consistent and to be able to operate in the half court and running game. From what I've seen F.W. is not consistently effective no matter what.
His stats last night 2 assits 6 turn overs - 2 for 8 shooting.
His stats for December16 assits 13 turnovers. Excluding the one good game you mentioned
9 assits 13 turnovers.
This ain't just a matter of style. He is a long way from being a productive point guard. As I said previously - I have no problems with the knicks trying to develop him. I just think you have to accept that for now - playing him makes the Knicks worse.
I think you're right, but how much winning will the Knicks be doing any way? As a fan, I like to see the team playing the rookies and trying to develop them.
That gives me some hope for the future. The way things are going with the Knicks, I'd rather see Lampe and Sweetney out there too. I know, I know, the Knicks would lose more games. At this point I'd rather watch a young, rebuilding team.
Maybe Frank Williams won't work out. But he has shown some flashes and I guess, as a fan, that's what you latch on to.
