Truthfully - I think you're looking at him as a fan. If Frank was on another team and a fan of that team said "we've got this young point guard and he's playing well" - I think you would look at F.W. and laugh. If he's doing all these great things - why are his stats terrible. He is playing with the same team as Ward and Eisley and he's committing way more turn overs and producing way less assits. I really want the guy to be good - but so far he's just not.

Well, he really didn't look good tonight, that's for sure.

Old fan we run two diferent systems one that is stagnant and benefits one on one play where ward and eisley can get stats by just passing to houston or the running team that includes frank in the win over the wizards 18 min 7 assist 8 pts etc...
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think to be effective you have to be consistent and to be able to operate in the half court and running game. From what I've seen F.W. is not consistently effective no matter what.

His stats last night 2 assits 6 turn overs - 2 for 8 shooting.

His stats for December16 assits 13 turnovers. Excluding the one good game you mentioned

9 assits 13 turnovers.

This ain't just a matter of style. He is a long way from being a productive point guard. As I said previously - I have no problems with the knicks trying to develop him. I just think you have to accept that for now - playing him makes the Knicks worse.

I think you're right, but how much winning will the Knicks be doing any way? As a fan, I like to see the team playing the rookies and trying to develop them.

That gives me some hope for the future. The way things are going with the Knicks, I'd rather see Lampe and Sweetney out there too. I know, I know, the Knicks would lose more games. At this point I'd rather watch a young, rebuilding team.

Maybe Frank Williams won't work out. But he has shown some flashes and I guess, as a fan, that's what you latch on to.

The more burn FW gets, the better he'll become, IMO. Whether he starts some games or comes off the bench, he needs playtime to improve.

I wouldn't mind seeing all the rooks play. Even if it's like 10 minutes a game. It's better than nothing.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Like I said I don't mind them playing F.W. We just disagree about how long it will take for him to develop. I remember when Dean "the Dream" Meminger(sic) was backing up clyde and he game in one day when clyde was out and scored 25 - and I thought he was going to be another star. You need to be able to do it consistently ESPECIALLY at point guard and F.W. - is more consistently bad then good.

As far as Sweeney and Lampje - you'd get tired of watching them REAL fast. In particular I don't think Lampje is anywhere close to ready to play and I think playing him will do more harm then good. It's the equivilent of throwing a talented single A pitching prospect into the majors and destroying his confidence when he gets crushed. I haven't seen much Lampje but given his age and where he is coming from I find it hard to believe he would do anything but get abused.

Sweeney - I guess I would try - but I wouldn't have high hopes - and as much as we all say we'd rather watch the rookies lose then the veterans - I think it will get old fast.

I still think with some kind of set rotation this team should NOT be this bad.
