Its become pretty much common knowledge that MDA would live a happier longer life if he didnt have to coach Nate anymore. Nate does however help us win games and is needed.

I am hoping a few factors come together and make this work...
MDA needs solid play from Nate next year to win
When Nate plays a solid game the Knicks are better
Nate really really wants to be a Knick. He wants to play here and in this city.

My hope is that Nate is easier to deal with for MDA when the Knicks are winning more games, and Nate makes himself easier to deal with because he wants to stay here.

Time will tell

The more I think of it, the more I realize how Nate can probably help us win much more so than David Lee. And I'm a big Lee fan.

DW drafted Hill hoping against hope that he will develop and make Lee expendable. As good as Lee is in some areas, you cant have swiss cheese D at one of your power spots.

I just dont see the sense in breaking the bank for sessions when we have Douglas and Nate. DW obviously sees it the same way.

Nate's overall +/- may be good but the +/- in crunch is a better indication because he doesn't generally start and is not going against starters. In crunch time he is going against the other team's better players. Doe she have talent-absolutely but also has a ton of negatives to offset. If its a choice between him and DLee have to go with DLee who at worst can compliment any team. May be if we had inside stopper the choice would be more difficult.
