The Dolans just need to sell the team to the Maras. Equally liberal with the money without the utter incompetence and circus action.

Sports franchises should only have to worry about their players landing in the news for idiotic things and chalk it up to these guys spending the majority of their lives in the singleminded pursuit of athletic excellence at the cost of developing social skills, a moral compass, financial managment skills, and risk vs. reward weighing skills.

I have no idea what excuse executives and GMs who are hired for their brains have...

The Knicks have not been able to do anything in free agency other than use their MLE for years so there really is nothing base analysis of this on. The last time the Knicks had cap space they signed Allan Houston and Chris Childs and traded Mase for LJ. I don't think they have had any cap flexibility since but I could be mistaken. Walsh is the first GM since Ernie that has tried to manage the cap.

They need to up the cap space by about 25 mil. and you would see the knicks with a better team.
