Silver: Another team in NY will be good because it will scare the crap out of Dolan. People will never choose the Nets over the Knicks once the Knicks are good again. It would never worry me to have another team in New York.

Nets can go where ever they want. They can move anywhere in NY. The KNICKs are the only team to be called NY. If you change teams because they come to NY, then you where never a TRUE DIEHARD KNICK FAN, just a fair weather johnny.

I dont see how they're goin to build an arena down there by Atlantic Ave. They're goin to have to knock over more than a couple of buildings and widen some streets. How much more could Flatbush get?

i'm from brooklyn and been a nyk season ticket holder for 11 years and last night i got to meet benard king, shake his hand and get an autograph. one of my most memorable nights at the garden in recent years.

that said

i don't think moving the nets to brooklyn will really solve anything for them over the long term. in the short term, sure. it will be new, exciting, etc. but thinking about their cap situation and the current state of the economy and their window of opportunity it's a tough sell for the long term. as an example look at the braves, the best bridesmaid in the national league. over time of being close but no cigar, they have lost their casual fan. the same kind of thing can happen to the nets if they were to move to brooklyn and not win a championship quickly.

that said part two

best case scenario, or at least i think, would be a west side sports complex that houses both the knicks and the nets similar to the way they run the staples center.

just a thought.

sec 416.

I hate the Nets because of the attitude of the team from the management to the players. K-Mart, Kidd, Jefferson, Kittles and the rest of that team act like Cali guys....arrogant, ****y, ignorant....need I go on? Richard Jefferson thinks he's God's gift to basketball, K-Mart thinks he can say and do what he wants just because he can jump high.

To me that's not Brooklyn basketball. Jason Kidd, K-Mart and Jefferson all have said they don't want to go to Brooklyn so it's no skin off my back.

The Knicks will still be my team even though I rep Brooklyn hard every time I take a step. I have a Brooklyn shirt on as we speak.

If I can change the subject slightly....which team would you guys say best captures Brooklyn? Memphis Grizzlies especially since they got Bonzi get my vote. Hubie back in Brooklyn, you gotta love it.
