In the past I felt it was a character problem; then I thought he was fooling around with drugs. But I agree with those that are concerned about his mental health. The guy is seriously in need of help and I hope he gets it. I don't know what you call his problem medically, but he seems to be past everyday neurosis and eccentricity. Maybe someone close to him - a friend or family member will get him to see a competent therapist.

I think theres a huge difference btween us laughing at this, and a fellow pro athlete labeling him gay, and therefore we dont want none of that in our big manly world.

Haywod should be fined for this, not because he made fun of Marbury (lets be fair its hard not to), but because his comments set pro spots back another few years in its quest to be all-inclusive.

IMO gaybashing is just as bad as racism and anti-semitism. In todays day and age if an athlete speaks like that he should be punished. Its the same as an athlete saying "theres no way a pro would want to compete with this black guy". No difference IMO.

I get what ur saying about Haywood...he should have left it at the gay remarks. I believe there is a difference between acting gay and being gay... He crossed the line when he talked about getting dressed around him.
