I would waste money on them because its my team no matter who dressed the orange and blue. Only bandwagoners wait for the team to win to start rooting for them. Finally the team has some young and exciting players to root for. A system and a plan. Why do knicks fans have to find a negative to everything? They enjoy suffering? Masochism? Even if we had some of the players people drool for here, they would find a way to spin it end-of-the-world.

I've been a Knicks fan for over 45 years and I spent lots of money going to games. So after 45 years or more I have a right to take a year off and still be a fan. Hell the owner and GM is doing is so why can't I??

I've gone to a couple of games with my kids the last few years--but for me to commit to 5 games a year driving 2 hours both ways will take a meaningful turn around. One of my daughters has a Nate Robinson jersey--she also named one of her webkinz dolls nate after him--the other two have David Lee jerseys. I would love to come to a game and get them signed by the players but will they even be Knicks? Anyone here know Nate or Lee? Were going to the Suns Liberty this Wed so that should be fun. It's rabid women's basketball in CT.

Say what? What is the point of a professional sports franchise if it isn't to win games? Frankly the only reason and I mean the only reason the Knicks remain even remotely relevant and aren't in the process of being sold is because they happened to be located in the biggest American city.

Bitty, read the first part because it was about that. I'm saying that if our only motivation to win is to prevent the pick owned by Utah from becoming a top one, then we really suck. We can't worry about that pick since it isn't ours anymore.

I would go to a game if they just have one hustling player that you can root for like Nate, Balkman, Ariza, and Lee have been in the last few seasons.

I'm not sure who that player is at this point.

Gallo is more rootable-for than any of those names.

So shouldn't the objective ALWAYS be to win? Losing the draft pick should be an added motivation not a reason to lose.

Added motivation? You think the players will have the pick on their minds when playing? Its not their responsability that pick is in Utahs hands. They aren't gonna hustle more because of it. The bottom line is always winning, which they will try to up to their abilities, but because they want to win. Not to prevent Utah from scoring a top pick.

same can be said about a franchise like the Chicago Cubs... it's cuz the Knicks have a long standing & loyal fanbase & they're in a major market... the Knicks will always make money.
