Oh and, predictably, Alan "ITS IMMINENT" Hahn wrote on his morning blog that the Sessions talk has fizzled, he wants the full MLE, Knicks don't want to give him that, and an "unnamed" exec said "That's how you wind up with Jared Jeffries."

We ended up with Jared Jefferies because we accepted paying a role player who never avg more than 6 points all of that money. Sessions in a starting role last year avg 18-9-5 at 22 years old. Sessions has put up 44 points in a game Sessions has dished out 24 assists in game Sessions has had 10+ rebounds in a game. He averaged in what was his rookie year 12 points 6 assists 3.5 rebounds in a little more than half a game.
It's a stupid comparison--not even close--put a name to it because he shouldnt be working in the nBA. The Knicks should get this done--this is a player the MLE ws built for--don't penny pinch a deal like this out the window. Too many voices at MSG. The cant come up to 27.5 over 5 with an opt out after 3 years and team option on year 5? I dont see him refusing that deal.

Sessions sucks. I don't know why Donnie Walsh signed him when we could have had Iverson.

15/8/4 is awful for a rookie as a starter. I expect at least 30/15/12 from rookie PGs!

Alan Hahn provides an update on the status of restricted free-agent Ramon Sessions.

"I continue to hear that the Knicks remain the 23 year old's last remaining legitimate option," writes Hahn. "The Clippers seem content with their roster and the Bucks just recently made additions (Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic) that suggest they are ready to move on, as well."

According to Hahn, the Knicks are ready to sign an offer sheet at around $4 million per season if and when Sessions accepts.

This could be official soon..

Just saw that Hahn post on RealGM. If it's true, and Sessions is down for such a deal, I think we have to move on it as soon as the Rubio stuff is shown to be bunk, perhaps as early as tomorrow or Friday. But since there are no other teams even in the running for Sessions, we should not be imprudent.

Rubio first, otherwise Sessions (@ $4mil). Hopefully, we can move Fishlips and N8 in a package deal and we will be set for next summer.

What if we're waiting on Kahn to get back from Spain so we can sign Sessions AND trade Duhon + Lee for Rubio and change?

...I can dream, can't I?

Doubtful the Wolves want another 1 and 4. Much more likely they want a 2/3.

But I'd love that trade if it's do-able. Rather give them N8 + something.

Yo session is comin' off a 12/7.5 year and a limited rookie campaign where he avg. 8 assists per game! He is effectively a second year player with HUGE upside, and we will claim him early, mold him to our liking.

Not to mention posting a few triple doubles, and I'm sure he would have easily led the league in asst had Redd been healthy..

Exactly, this dude put up 12/7.5 on a sorry-a** bucks team with only 3 scorers. What could he do in our high-octane offense, with Lee, Chandler, Gallo, Harrington, and Hughes running with him. This kid is the truth. You watch in two years we will be kicking ourselves asking for Walsh's head because he did not get the Sessions deal done.

Sessions on the Knicks equals 17 pts, 9.7 assists, and 1.5 steals a game, as a third year player. Once he develops his three point shot, he will be a 20 pt scorer.
Trust the Process

Peep Sessions Youtube video's. He has a post game interview talking about how he is trying to be a leader out there and talks about positive reinforcing his teamates toward success.......if that's not the D'antoni philosophy I dunno what is....He obviously got that from his AAU days coached by D'antoni's brother.

Watching him play point, he has a clear shot but would rather draw defenders so he can get the ball to his scorers. He's awesome. He's not Magic Johnson with the flash but he damn sure can create and find guys that don't know they are open. He also knows who has the hot hand and who needs the rock.
He is so perfect for the Knicks its not even funny. I'm gonna be so freakin happy if/when Sessions becomes a Knick.
