Our only hope is that MDA can make Curry look serviceable enough to trade. Even if Curry manages to come into camp in the best shape of his life (there is only about a 10% chance of that happening), you cannot rely on the guy longterm. We must get him off this team if we want any success. Hopefully some sucker desperate for a post presence will trade an expiring contract for him. Too bad McHale is no longer the GM of the Timberwolves.

Having shooters around curry doesn't matter much cause he can't pass out of the double effectively.

What can you expect, 20 min 5 fouls 3 t o and a dunk 1 for 3 at charity stripe

The other curry across the country will start nice and hit the rookie wall early.

It seams that nobody really has faith in curry this upcoming season, and with great reason. He has definately been MIA past 2 seasons. I think that he has a ton to play for this upcoming season, and with his weight loss, and lack of money, having asked for an advance last year, I think he may come back and play his as* off... Thoughts ?

I expect him to come in shape, at least, and, unlike Marbury last year, he will get a chance in the regular season. If he can somehow manage to be in game shape, then I expect him to score 6 points a game and grab 2 rebounds.

6 pts and 2 boards - if he played that that 'in game shape' it would be a waste of a uniform...the guys should be able to score 15 points a game just by planting his fat ass in the low block. you cld have gotten 6 and 2 from sene. if thats the case, should have released curry and kept sene - remember - bruised never broken.

dont know if you are being serious or not, but those numbers wld be career year stats. what evidence can you point to that qualifies he will have such a breakout year after being out of shape and playing in minimal games the last few seasons. an athlete needs desire to acheive, curry has none - unless there's one more meatball in the dish and someone turns out the lights.

ps: here are curry's career stats:

13.4 points
5.3 rebounds
.7 blocks

You guys have to remember that Curry was a terrible passer and pouted when he wasn't the focal point of the offense.

Its also difficult to get him the ball. Only Craw was ever marginally adept at it.

This guy is easier to trade if he never makes it on the floor. The rumor of Curry is better than the reality.

those are the #s I expect. He's still only 26 and he's certainly well rested. He can score. Always has been able to. I expect him to be our starting center and play about 25 minutes and give us about 14/5 on 55% shooting. Traded by Christmas

I think he will be showcased in order to move him. That means the coaching staff will intentionally inflate his stats prior to the TD. Maybe my guess at his bounding was too high, I'll revise it to...

13 pts, 6 boards, .5 blocks. I think with a lighter-weight fat man, those numbers will be achievable in this system. He hasn't really played in MDA's offense yet, so I expect his stats will reflect the system more than they have to date.

Again, it's only due to trying to dump his cheeseburger contract that he will be allowed to get this.

He'll be good. How good I dont know, but he is essentially playing to stay in the league. Two strong seasons to finish out his contract will ensure that he will be able to sign a new one after '11 --- and Curry obviously needs chip. Unquestionably, he is talented and I'm optimistic that he's motivated.

Will be very interesting to see how he performs in the D'Antoni system if he's in reasonably good shape.

I guess I'm giving him too much credit, but based on his economic, and reputation situation, trying to prove he is worth another contract, I expect that he is goin to bring it this season...I hope he does at least, because that would be a HUGE bonus...

Eddy has no economic incentive this season. He's getting his 10.5mil this year and his 11.2mil in 2010 no matter what. There is no way in hell he opts out of that contract.

I dont know what i have more trouble believeing... the part where he gets 8 boards or the 1 block part. And you left out the 3 turnovers.

Considering the fact that he is almost broke he needs a next contract. These guys are so stupid to a fault with money you have no idea. Walker can blow through over a hundred million Eddy can easily spend all his money before his checks are cashed. He needs one more pay day or he is screwed.

Give Iverson 3 years out of the NBA and that guy is broke, there is a a reason half the guys could barely afford to eat during the lockout.

I think you get 13pts 6rbs 1blk out of the guy in 20 minutes a night. We just need him to draw some fouls and get the other bigs out of their comfort zone which the guy can do.

Papabear Says

For Curry 4 double cheeseburgers and a vanilla shake with a diet coke.

I always laugh when people do that order an Italian HotDog with a diet coke. I'm thinking all the diet coke in the world won't erase those calories.
