So is the basic deal Donnie wants Iverson for 1yr and MDA wants Sessions for long-term?

seems that way from si.com and yahoo reports and makes sense with donnie's desire to protect the cap space. who do you want? i'm not even sure, but i think if we're looking to improve the most in one season, Iverson is the more reliable pick here. long-term, Sessions would be better, obv, though still a risk. but if it's all about 2010, i have a feeling Donnie will try to convince MDA Iverson is the play. I'm guessing Donnie might also think the Bucks would match Sessions at the MLE and try to get under the luxury tax limit another way before the end of the season. especially since Donnie spoke to Hammonds this week.
Sessions at something like 5yr full MLE
Iverson at one yr full MLE

Sessions/Douglas
Chandler/Nate
Harrington/Gallo
Dlee/Jefferies
Darko/JHill/(the artist formerly known as eddy curry)
you know... if thats our team next season I dont know how you dont give DW an A+. I mean your going to have cap space and roster flexibility. Not to mention thats a decent young team that will be well coached and fun to watch. If you get anything from Curry like you go the last 3 seasons prior to last, anything at all and thats a close to .500 team. Maybe they win 39 or 40 games before getting crushed by the Cavs but still. I dont know how you cant sign up for that after what Isiah left
Assuming QO's for Lee and N8?

Where are Hughes and Duhon?

i think he assumed Duhon for Sessions.

And if JJ can be moved for Nate, A+++

I want the Knicks to get everyone!!! I just wat them to win finally...

Knicks have leverage and time on their side...Iverson would be awesome at guard, but what does donnie do with wilson chandler? Iverson can play point guard if he buys into what d'antoni wants...that a tall task. I think D'antoni eventually slides Iverson to the 2 guard or benches him and you all know what happened when Iverson got benched....

Sessions is still the main option....imho of course.

What if Donnie trades Duhon for Sessions? what if Donnie also signs Iverson 1 year for the exemption???

i just don't think iverson is on the radar is you can get sessions. i agree sessions is target #1. if they get him, you keep the ball is his hands and maybe gallo's hands and have a bunch of other guys spotting up and cutting to the hoop.

iverson only comes if sessions falls through. i guess the thing to watch is bowen right now. if he goes, it opens the door for a duhon for sessions deal, i'd think. maybe nate to the bucks instead of duhon, but we'll see, i guess.

i like Sessions & don't mind signing him up to the MLE, but i'd rather sign Iverson for 1 year & weigh our options in 2010 if those are our only 2 options.

if the bucks can trade Bowen and clear his $4M salary for TE or non-guaranteed contracts (if they waive him, he still counts for $2M), they'd have enough to match a full MLE to Sessions. OR to take back Duhon in a s&t and not incur the luxury. we'll see. but probably not until next week.

August 1st is tomorrow. They either have to waive him or trade him tonight, or he's 4 mil on their cap.

I dont see a team with cap space trading for Bruce Bowen. i don't see a non-contender going for Bowen.

Are there contending teams with Trade Exceptions around?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

the only rumors i've heard are the celtics. they have some non-guaranteed deals they could send to the bucks along with tony allen.

if the bucks just have to waive Bowen and have the $2M on their cap, that puts them very close to luxury territory with the Warrick signing. i think they'd have to let Sessions walk in that case.
