If the Knicks did such a dimwitted move as this, I would throw in the towel and walk away from them for good. What a stupid idea. This isn't middle school, it's professional basketball. DW isn't 12 years old.

there wont be any foul play. Nate and Lee will be coming back for 1 year deals because they are wanted back. MDA doesnt like coaching Nate but he's the best player we have right now, and the best guard. We need him, plain and simple. If the Knicks are going to win 10 more games than last year and fight for the 8th seed and play .500 or close to .500 basketball then they need Lee, Nate and Harrington (all guys in their last years) to play and play well and play team ball.

I think its clear that if your on the floor you will get numbers. Staying on the floor will mean rebounding, running, passing and scoring.

In 2000-01 the Pistons won 32 games. In 2001-02 they won 50. The big addition? Cliff Robinson. Thats it. Is that what I expect? No way... I'm not that dumb. I do think MDA will get the benefit of a more stable roster and it will show in the win column

on further reflection, I agree. still not sure why people would get angry though. Some people here act like they think their ideas are always perfect.

Because they are not going to accept it. If I am playing on a 1 year deal, I would rather do one year at $5 mill rather than 1 year at $2.9 mil (in Nate's case). I see this as a great deal for us. Basically, we get one more year to figure out what to do with Nate and Lee. It improves our chances of making the playoffs this year because both Nate and Lee are in our top 6.

it gives Donnie a stay of execution for a few months, but the problem is still there... if Nate or Lee don't agree to a trade then Donnie's up shiite's creak w/o a shovel.
