McK1 I just disagree. Not saying I'm right but I just see conflict not cohesion there.

Durant is already a top 10 player in this league. Green and Westbrook are nice talents but no one is doubling those guys right now. Kobe is a nice player but still takes the game on his shoulder way to much. I think they would have beat the lakers if they played them.

Roy is that good, they just don't have anyone else on offense that can really play outside of aldridge. They actually had the size to slow the lakers down

Top 10? That's a pretty bold statement. Quite incorrect at that. Let us expand that to oh, say, top 30 maybe? Even then I'm not so sure. A gunner on a garbage team doesn't do much for me.

Oh, and, the Lakers were the NBA Champs. Nobody beat them. Not even a fictitious Blazer roster.

Please give me a detailed response to how Durant isn't a top 10 player. Forget about his team and their reoord. The Thunder are extremely young. As a player, how exactly is he not top 10? What is your top 10?

In no particular order...at all.

LeBron
Wade
Duncan
Kobe
Garnett
Dwight
Dirk
Gasol
Artest
Paul
Anthony
Bosh

I could probably go quite a bit further listing players that are better than Kevin Durant but you said Top 10 and I just gave you more than 10.

Dispute this, and you win a cookie.

I think the Blazers wouldn't have won the chip with Durant... but I do think by passing on him they cost themselves a dynasty. their core would have essentially been Roy/Durant/Aldridge and they'd have enough assets to upgrade the Aldridge spot. I mean, they could have probably packaged him, Rodriguez, Bayless, Outlaw, Blake, picks for Amare and Nash.

And anyone who doesn't think Kevin Durant isn't a perennial all star is just nuts. He has the skillset of a true wing and is 6'11". People like to hate on him because he can't bang or play the post against bigs. WHO CARES?!?! The guy is a true wing with a huge size advantage. he's like Nowitzki but with the lateral quickness of guard. He's unreal. I said this when he was drafted and I'll reiterate: Kevin Durant is a future Hall of Famer. He is a completely unique player, that is already getting rave reviews, and I'm not even sure he can buy beer yet.

Ok

You would rather have Ron Artest for next season, not one GM in the league would agree with you.

Durant was playing out of position for much of the year and under PJ who had no idea what he is doing.

LeBron
Wade
Duncan
Kobe
Garnett
Dwight
Dirk
Paul
Anthony

I will give you all of those guys. Durant doesn't have anyone of the caliber that Kobe had, Duncan had, Dirk had, Anthony had. I think if you exchanged Melo and Durant the results would be very similiar. I would rather have him than Paul Pierce, and a number of Allstars. Coming into the season you can look for all his numbers to increase across the board. KG is a great player but I don't see him switching roles with Durant and making the Thunder that much better.

Durant 18 shots a game at 47.6
Kobe 21 shots a game at 46.7 (Gasol, Odom)
Melo 18 shots a game at 44.3
Dirk 20 shots a game at 47.9 (Kidd feeding him the ball, Josh Howard)

The kid isn't nearly in the gunner category that everyone thinks and with this offseason behind him coming into the year I think he is a top 10 talent. He was on a team with no veterans a ****ty coach that had to be replaced. Watch what the guy does this year. Give him Jason Kidd and he is lights out he has to do more creating with his unit.

Artest? Dirk? Gasol? Bosh? Apparently you haven't watched the man play. You should pull up some video footage on him. He is the second best Small Foward in the league behind Lebron. Kevin Durant is unguardable and a underrated defender...I'll guess he'll just have to prove you wrong next season
