Why Brad Miller?

Where does he fit in next to Darko, Curry, and Hill?

We already have enough of a log jam at center now, we need guards.....point guards

he also fits this supposed system far better than any center on that list.

What about a 3 way with Portland. Lee and Outlaw to Chicago, Hinrich and Duhon to Portland, Bayless and Ty Thomas and an expiring corpse to NY?

I like Hinrich a lot. Hinrich and Tyrus Thomas for Lee and JJSkinny. They can send us back Jerome James if they need to match $$$

I'm only going to say this because I never say this. I have a source who usually gets everything right but doesn't say too much anymore. Today, he was commenting on the rumors about the Bulls with Lee and says it has some legs. Said it was just talks and he'll find out more and say whatever news he has tonight. No trade imminent but something like this has been discussed:
D Lee to Chicago
Hinrich to Portland
Bayless/pick to NY

Thoughts?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Well, we must REALLY like Bayless to give up Lee. I mean at the same time I don't think we value Lee too highly. As I stated in another thread, when Zach wasn't here Lee's rebounding was around 7 a game. (maybe he was hurt?) I trust management here, if a pick and Bayless is enough in their mind then it's a go, but I don't understand then having Nate, Bayless and Douglas. Perhaps more is in the works... Finally some excitement though around here

interesting. Bayless is a 2, right? Not at all a 1, so essentially you are filling out your bench.

But it does mean the backcourt is crowded: Duhon, Hughes, Nate, Douglas are already there. But I do suspect that Nate will be gone with Jefferies.

Bayless is an unproven combo guard who cant shoot from beyond the 3 pt arc. Nate is similar but better than Bayless and we have Nate already. I'm not hot on Bayless. He was going to be a top pick in last year's draft and fell to #11 with 5 guards taken before him. We don't need Bayless. We need a point guard ....and we need a SG who can hit the 3pt with 40% consistency.

I wouldn't say that Bayless isn't a 1. He's more SG than he is PG definitely - but he can pass the ball and I think in this offense, which is predicated on spacing and scoring, he'd really be able to move the ball around, speed and use his own scoring ability to his advantage.

I see Warrick as more of an athletic 4 (not unlike Ty Thomas).

not a Bayless fan... at all. Hated his FG% in college. All I see is Jamal Crawford part II. A volume shooting off guard in a point guard's body.

Hinrich is a real PG, and he is one of the better defenders at the position. We need guys like that on the floor late in games. A guy that can drill a three, set up a teammate for an easy score and get then get a stop. He's a real two way guy.

Martin:

SF: LBJ, Gallo
PF: Warrick, Hill

all can play either posish except Hill who may be able to play C in time (and Gallo will need to fill out b4 playing any 4).

Fish, I'm curious what you didn't like about Bayless's FG% in college? He shot 45% overall from the field, 40% from 3 and 84%ft.
