ESPN is a joke to me though.

On the one hand, they want to act all high and mighty and protect Andrews "best interests" yet ESPN has YET to even utter a single word about the Sexual Harrasment case that is being brought against Ben Roethlisberger. Why isn't ESPN reporting it when every other major news outlet is? ESPN put some stupid statement out saying they don't report "allegations" which is total BS and you can go down the list of all the allegations that they've jumped on in the past month alone, especially high profile ones in recent time, such as Pacman Jones, Alex Rodriguez, etc etc.

ESPN is protecting Big Ben because they have some deal for him to have a program on ESPN in the near future and thats why they are declining to report this. ESPN only does whats good for ESPN and right now and in the past 2 years Erin Andrews has been good for ESPN.

I give ESPN absolutely ZERO credit.

I saw it on ESPN yesterday while working out.

Well I'm glad they finally mentioned it. It's been over 5 days since the news broke.

In light of this thread topic, I find the joking to be a tad on the wrong side of decency.

Are ya serious Martin? Look at the main forum of this website, theres threads voting which woman (who all happen to be wearing next to nothing) is hotter than the other in a tournament style event. Not saying I don't like it, but let's be real here.

Could have even been 2-3 days ago when I caught it, and the gist of what I understood was that there was no criminal investigation into this whole thing cause the woman didn't file a criminal report, only a civil one. Am I off base?

completely agree w/u nyk, ESPN is so agenda driven it's not even funny... they focus on the stuff they wanna sensationalize & blow up to ridiculous proportions based on hearsay, rumor & conjecture all the time such as anything negative having to do w/the Yankees, yet hardly cover the stuff that doesn't serve their interests at all, including anything that is critical of Red Sux Nation.

I'm sure some of the women that frequent this site might find the whole entire main forum littered with vote-off's of chicks wearing next to nothing a bit distasteful. As I've said, I'm totally for it, I enjoy it, but if we want to play the "distasteful" game, then I think they are one of the same.

maybe if we consolidated all the Alba threads to a central Bukkake forum it would cut down on some of the clutter... just a thought.

Was there a criminal investigation when the Pacman Jones accusations first broke? ESPN jumped on that story quicker than Marv on a fruity-drink.

Andrew and I have talked about this some and we welcome feedback.

Part of the reason that as soon as voting is over I move the threads to OT. Otherwise, we haven't had any emails or posts otherwise protesting, except from BRIGGS complaining that the main forum was turning into Maxim (but I don't read every thread and every post).

Of course there's a difference, we all know that.

You claimed my comment was in poor taste. All I'm saying is that for all the crap that people say on this site, for you to say that to me over wanting to see a hot chick naked, when there are 17 threads on the main page voting for who the hottest chick is, I think is a bit of a contradiction.

i mean i got no problem w/it but i can see it getting annoying for posters who come here only to talk hoops... up to u guys tho, i'm good either way... just ticked off my korean prospects are getting knocked off in round 2... i think a Racist Hatters forum is a good idea also.

No there was no investigation 5 days ago when the story broke, the other outlets were reporting accusations. My point with the previous post that you said is responding to a question with a question is that ESPN has reported accusations a trillion times over but this time chose not to because they are "protecting" one of their own.

there is a big difference between people who want to expose themselves through the media on their own terms and those who do not and have who have also been illegall taken advantage of.

Previous to this incident I am sure that Erin Andrews would have LOVED to been on the cover of People magazine and Seventeen or whatnot through her own will, etc.

Keep on joking about wanting to see the nekkid Erin Andrews pics and you are almost indirectly supporting or a perpetuating a criminal violation of her privacy.

This is a big difference than what is going on in the alba threads.

Also, mostly all I had done was say that it was a tad on the not decent side of things.
